The direct, side on shots are in post 1 of this very thread.
I was experiencing the VSC coming on when it didn't really need to be, after the new tires. I searched TS and found that some had it fixed by performing a "zero calibration" of the VSC saftey system. It is not on any list that I saw, but when I asked the tech about it, he immediatley found it when he jacked into my truck and zero'ed it out. I didn't get to see what exactly he did, as the screen was out of my view. Now the VSC acts as it did before the lift and tires.
I can't wait for a bit of snow either, we don't get much around here anymore, but I enjoy it while it lasts.

When was your pass seat belt chime coming on? What did you mean by turning the recirculate off for auto? How often was your VSC coming on and under what driving conditions? With the calibration of the VSC did your tranny shift points go back to more like stock? TIA
When tank rides with me...
Tiny didn't really set it off...
What did you mean by turning the recirculate off for auto?
The trucks heating and A/C was preset to automatically turn on Recirculation everytime I started the truck, I like it on fresh air, so I had them change it.
How often was your VSC coming on and under what driving conditions?
It would come on when hard cornering, and when I stomped on the gas from anything less than 30mph. Once zero'ed, the truck now acts like it did with the stock tires.
With the calibration of the VSC did your tranny shift points go back to more like stock?
No, VSC (vehicle stability control) has nothing to do with the transmission.
I hope that answers your questions, let me know if you have more...

I've been looking and I'm sure its right in front of my eyes, but I don't see how high the lift is anywhere- 2", 2.5", 3". Did you lift the back at all too?
Thx.

Sorry, the lift is a Truxxx, 3" spacer in the front and a 1" block in the rear.
I will soon be adding Supersprings to the back, that should lift it a little more and also keep it level when loaded with dirtbikes and towing the Travel Trailer.

Thanks! I'm curious if you notice any axle wrap when accelerating hard?
I carry a camper sometimes to payload capacity and am thinking about airbags. Doesn't absolutely need them, but if I level her, I don't want the back to sag when loaded. Or I could add the 1" block to keep some rake. Please tell us the good and bad.

I am seriously considering this kind of lift. I was quoted just under $500 to have this done at a Tire Shop. My concerns were ride quality, and having it done at a tire shop.
Any thoughts?

I still feel like it rides like factory. The only real thing I notice, is the height in the corners (a little more body roll) but what do you expect?
Sounds like the shop is charging you about $200 in labor, or is the $500 including an alignment. If it includes the alignment, I'd say it should be at $470. If not, they should be closer to $420 or so. In a shop with lifts, I bet me and a buddy could have one of the Truxxx lifts on in about an hour and a half. Shop rate around here is $70 to $80. Good luck

As with all the earlier posts, it looks absolutely excellent. Now for what may be some dumb questions:
1. I have a stock 2007 DC 4WD SR5 (by the way, it's slate too). Could I put those tires on without a lift?
2. I live in Kent. I am slightly chicken about taking on a lift myself. Could you recommend a shop or dealer in Western WA that would do a GOOD job; someone I could trust?
3. What dealer did you use to get the alignment and zero calibration, sounds like they know what they are doing, or at least your tech did? Puyallup?
And thanks for your post, very very informative, and for your patience with us less mechanically inclined, but who love your lift results.
