I'm looking forward to upgrade my OEM michelins LTX A/S on my 07 tundra DC for more agressive tires but I want to stick with the size 275/65 R 18. So far my picks are revo or destination A/T. Tirerack ratings are high for both of them but how do they realy perform? Thanks Mariusz

I had the Destination A/T's on my 05 Z71, liked them alot, but never have run the Revo's. They quiet, smooth and very comfortable in wet wether. Good luck with your choice
I put the Revo 265/65/17 on a 02 Ford Supercrew that I had. It was, without a doubt, the worst set of tires I've ever owned including used tires. The first corner I took with the truck around an expressway cloverleaf and I almost turned it sideways and I wasn't pushing the truck. The heft of the truck just overwhelmed the tires. I played with the air pressure because they seemed like they were grossly under inflated but even running 55 lbs in them didn't do anything and running 30lbs was a ride of terror. I finally got a CEL on the dash and got rid of the truck. I'd never recommend these tires to anybody and suggest staying away from them.
I had Revos on my 2003 Tundra. I probably will not buy them again. They were great in mud and snow, but were a little loud on the road. The worst part was the gas mileage. I dropped 2MPG from the Michelins that were on it.

I've moved dealers again. Hopefully this is the last one. I'm at Rosner Toyota in Fredericksburg VA. Call 540-898-7900 and ask for Steve Clifford... they will not know who "Cliffy" is.
I had a set of Revo's on my Navigator and they were 1000 times better than the Michelins I replaced them with. Much much, quieter (so quiet that my wife said something..... now thats proof ) better performance in snow and ice. I will be putting a set on my truck in another month or so.
as for the cornering ability, I had the thickest sidewall availible and they were great in my Navigator so I am hoping they will be great on the Tundra.
1. On my last truck an 04 Silverado I had two sets of Revos. I don't think they can be beat for an all terrain tire with a 50K warranty. They are quiet and do their job in snow and wet conditions. I was shocked to read of others bad experiences on wet roads, that was one of the best characteristics of my 2 sets. Could it be another type of Bridgestone Dueller's that problems occurred with? BS makes some crappy Duellers too.
2. With all this praise in mind, I'm still interested in anyone's experiences with the Destination AT's. They have a similar warranty (if I remember correctly) but a much better price tag. I'm especially interested in noise. I had a set of Bridgestones Duellers from Sears on the wife's Highlander. Those were one of the loudest most terrible set of tires I've ever owned. If anyone has experiences with the Destination AT's--good or bad, chime in. I'm interested in saving a little $$$ if others have had good experiences. Thanks

I had the revos on my 2004 sierra, and they were the best all season tire that I have driven on.Traction was excellent in snow and on wet roads and they weren't noisy.
i had revos on my 04 dodge q/c hemi and they were awesome down here in florida with all the rain we get. great traction, no noise, handled very well in all conditions. i only used them on the road. they may have very slightly hurt fuel mileage.

Good point vroten we don't hear much about Destination A/T's they seem like a good piece of rubber for less money.
I checked tirerack and the firestones are about $36 per tire less than the Revos. However, the Revos have a $75 cash card "rebate" so the difference is less. However the Destinations are ranked #2 in the category; the Revos are #4. I was correct as both are warranted for 50K. Revos are rated 500 treadwear/Destinations 460. Just a bunch of "FYI."
