Re: Question about transmission noises in 2007 Tundra.
I had the rumble vibration on my tundra. The vibe went away when I installed my new exhaust - this makes me think it might be a resonance problem with the design of the stock exhaust system. There's quite a bit of weight in the whole exhaust on these 07s all firmly coupled together without any swivel or flex joints, not to mention how immensly long the whole thing is (especially on a double cab with a long bed). I remember seeing weights added onto the mid-pipe on my 05 tundra. 07s don't have any of these dampening weights. It sounds totally plausible the exhaust system oscillating may be causing the rumble instead of the transmission itself.
