OK, I gotta know....how dfficult is the clear bra...is it tough to get it 100% smooth, w/o air bubbles in it? Yours looks great, but I worry it'd be tough to get it completely transparent.

Its really not to hard IMO put I consider myself fairly handy guy when it comes to this kinda thing. I won't say mines perfect there was a few smaller air bubbles after a day or so of drying in the sun so I got out a small needle and popped them and got the air and any water solution out to smooth things out better.
I also say wait to apply on a warmer day make it a little easier to comform to the body line but harder on you in the heat..
Wow that color matched grille looks awesome, never thought it would make such a big difference. Hopefully mine will be okay for awhile since it's silver.
im with u...the chrome grille surround on the limited trucks with the painted bumpers looks like an oversight....reminds me of the sport package rams aorund 2002-2004ish.... they were solid color from the factory but if someone wrecked it they put it back together with used parts and that sometimes included a chrome grille on a painted front end truck....when i see the chrome grille surround on the tundras with paitned bumpers it makes me think i need to check the title for rebuilt salvage since it looks out of place...if u going to paint some do it all, but on trucks like mine with chrome bumper the grille surround looks best IMO.....eitehr all or none i guess....
the blue looks sweeeeet.. i just painted the door handles, tail gate, grill and the little black insert in the grill alll color matched silver sky.... looks very nice like a limited luxery truck ... looks alot better with the silver handles too they match the silver handles on the back doors on my double cab... i will have pics on my web site soon too.. check out my other mods i got on it at www.n10cefab.com.... color match is soo much better then chrome anymore and its cheeper... o ya for any one else who wants to paint the handle i would recomend sanding the little bumpy texture off first ...makes for alot smoother and shinier more factory look
Well, back to the original post.....
I just spent close to 6 hours installing a RollBak tonneau....
The instruction sheet Sucked!
There was one sheet somewhat describing the removal of the Toyota rails...but never addressed the third rail under the back window...installation of the cylinder support brackets was greatly assisted by stabilizing the bracket with a screw into the plastic snap in screw mount for the cylinder top cover which BTW mounts to the INSIDE of the brackets , PRIOR to tapping into the single pre-drilled hole on each side for positioning the canister (only one ???????)
Company help was exceptional! spoke to Julian who basically stated that he would talk/walk me thru the installation process...which he did .
(4 phone calls) he did state that they were redoing the installation 'manual'...
It does look good when installed !!! I will post some pics later

But where I live, in boondock counties like Montgomery, TX, ... I've MURDERED so many flies at night driving on county roads at night. It's crazy how many flies you've killed when you drive for hours in the middle of nowhere late at night.
Montgomery County ain't too bad... Try Grimes at night.
Truck looks very good. Film application on such a compounded curved hood had to have been a challenge. Good Job!

How is your clear hood bra holding up? Would you still recommend it? I have been looking on ebay and only found a couple different types of clear bra kits. Can you tell me if you selected a generic brand or if you went with 3M.....alittle more expensive and its thicker?
Thanks
Jim

I went generic and the stuff holding up really well and not a rock chip to speak of yet. By generic it saves lots of money. Also something to ask the seller is if the kit your looking at covers further up the hood I seen some kits that had the hood protection shorter than the side pieces. As said before its fairly simple install just best to do on a warm day. the hood was probably the toughest to do at first.
For a hint on the hood I wetted the entire hood and centered up the peice and sprayed it with the solution, then took my squege and stuck the center down good by maybe a 12" sections worth, then stretched the ends to meet the side of the hood and stuck them down and slowly layed the rest down and applying some heat from the hair dryer were needed in the compound curves and eventually it lays down fine with no air bubbles so take your time and give the water/baby shampo solution time to dry a little under the material in the curves. Just word from center to outer edges pushing the water solution out.
Hope that helps with some of the questions that you may have and good luck in your project.
It's amazing how chrome fuglies up any vehicle.... I accept it on older 50's to early 80's vehicle, although prefer paint over chrome....
But now-a-days, it's just plain tasteless.... The big three are just now figuring out that they can't lure people with bling anymore.... yet Toyota seems to keep adding the stuff(latest 2010 taillights).... what's next? a chrome fuel fill lid, tailgate handle, and wiper arms? Pukey
Yea I can't wait to get all my chrome to "be gone"!
It cost me dearly when I purchased my truck.... swapping out Sequoia parts and whatnot....
Now-a-days, they have an Appearance Package, that, at minimal get's rid of the chrome.... yet, still leaves out paint matched stuff....
Once I figure out a bed liner... I'll then make it priority to sand and paint match the lower part of my RVM's, as well as my tailgate handle.... Paint rules... chrome and plastic sucks....
