Nice truck, same color as my "always looks clean silver".

I am always amused when someone blanks out their license plate yet anyone can see while your driving around. I don't get it ? ? ?

I blank it out because the whole world doesn't need to know my licence plate. Only the lucky few around me on the road do. I also blank out the number on my house for the same reason.

There's weirdo's out there you know...

I originally advertised them for $400 for all 4 on Craigslist. He was willing to pay $400 for them. I felt too guilty putting him in these tires with Alaska winter conditions and how poor tey worked. So I struck him a deal, $250 and he agreed to sipe them for $60 so in actuality he payed $310 for them and thats with all 4 tires being siped. It would kill me to know he or his family were hurt because he didn't have the money to replace his tires with new ones, bought mine that suck on winter roads and ended up hurt or killed as a result. The guys at TDS (Tire Distribution Systems) assured me that with the Rugged Trails siped they would work well for him this winter. He was happy as a lark and I recouped a little cash towards my new tires. The Bridgestones already show to have 10 times better traction and am sure they'll work great as tehy always have. I am going moose hunting down south tomorrow so the Tundra will have to work a little tomorrow but with new shoes I am sure shes up to it! <grin>

ALASKACUB:

I sold my BFG tires the first day I had my new Tundra. I would like to know how your AUTO LDS work's in 2WD and 4WD with good tires on now.

AlaskaCub,

You sold me on the AT Revo's. Bought a set for my 4X4 DC today on tirerack, along with a set of RFT Blizzak's for our 05 AWD Sienna (we have two boys under 3). Will be listing my BFG's on Craiglist here in Denver.

Thanks again for the feedback on the Revo's. Won't be hunting for any bears, lions, or tigers, except when we go to the zoo or the circus.

Your a great American, not many people give a crap about others these days. Especially our troops. The Alaskan National Guard is the only state to be redeployed immediately after returning from Iraq. That's over 2 years in country back to back.

My dad spent two summers on Sitkinak Island in the late 50's early 60's. He was a private contractor guarding an abandoned Loran station from salvagers. It was back when the Russian's launched Sputnik. God the stories he had.

They crashed on their way in and landed on a sparse island. The only game they could kill were the protected Bald Eagles which they did. They were rescued a day later by the coast guard.

He killed a Kodiak bear, hundreds of ptarmigan and seals. It was quite the adventure.

Go Gator's (again and again and again)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good to hear, I ordered a set of 305/65's and a Revtek lift my my DC today. The stock tires were terrible but I ran them from July until now and finally convinced the wife how terrible they were. Since she drives the truck most of the time (I drive the 06 DC) and has our new little guy with her 90% of the timeI wanted some good rubber on the truck.
I'll post a pic and maybe review when I get them on and run them a bit.

Just a short note to say thanks on the price break you gave to the Soldier.

Regardless of how bad these tires are with traction, siped, they have to beat the heck out of bald tires.

God Bless,

Frank
