Wheels
I'm trying to decide if I should keep the stock wheels for my upcoming Tundra Limited TRD.
I'm not really that interested in what looks "cool" like 22inch carved wheels (Don't even know what carved means, does some onetake a hunk of steel and a knife and carve them out? LOL).
I live at 8000 ft in White mountains AZ, so we do see a bit of snow from Oct to April (had an inch last July). My place borders the nat'l forest, so I go up dirt roads a lot to hunt, fish, camp etc, also will use it a semi-daily driver on 65 mph road ato town.
Now, would I get better gas milage with a 22 inch or 20 inch wheel?
Would an 18 inch wheel give better traction off-road?
What would you guys recommend from my description of use.
ps. the only othe pu I've had was a 1977 Nissan that I bought from the Nat'l Park Service, 2wd geared very low 4 speed. took that sucker all over the Sonoran desert to places a lot of 4X4s wouldn't go. Found that with careful selection of line through rough stuff, you can usually get through. srtuck only once in deep sand, 4X4s were stuck right next to me. Hence the need for a good "come along hand winch" no mater what you're driving.
