TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "s anyone used this install kit?", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
The title says it all
The kit is for installing an after market stereo head unit. SCOSCHE 07 TOYOTA TUNDRA DASH INSTALL KIT TA2073B
Does it match the gloss of the factory unit? It's the only one that says it matches (gloss blk) but I would like someone who has used it to let me know if they think it truly does.
Thanks
yes it matches nicely. you may have to sand or dremel the back of the kit to make it fit snug against the radio and dash. you might have to use a heat gun to "bend/mold" the kit to make it fit snug also. if you have a kenwood unit double din size you can use factory brackets as well.

I have one and I like mine. No installation problems. The brackets are plastic, would have been nice if they were metal.
I just tried to use it on mine, the finish does match the truck pretty nicely, but the fit is awful, no amount of tweaking could make it fit properly so I ended up replacing it with the Metra kit which at least matches the color of the dash (but not the texture) pretty closely.
