The black CM in Nittos booth had a custom long travel set up built by Camburg.

You were probably thinking of the black one in Donahoe's booth, it had the arm/coil-over set up. The Nitto one was a custom job done by Camburg through Donahoe. The arms are custom long travel-type set ups though it obviously had their coil-overs too. Was a really nice set up.

Donahoe had two black Tundras at Expo, one double cab which is owned by Donahoe that one had the coilovers and Chaos upper arm, the second was a crew max owned by Nitto which had a prototype Camburg L/T kit and custom built Donahoe coilovers and bypass shocks.

When we set up my truck, to get the alignment numbers in the green(caster, camber and toe) the ride height had to be at 3-3.5" over stock due to the changes in the geometry in the upper arms. The truck drives perfect on the freeway and doesn't have to be corrected to drive straight which is due to the added caster in the arms.

Dezertlex, I assume you're running 35x12.50x20's ( it looks like it at least) how much rubbing if any do you have? I know Toyo's are typically "true" 33's, 35's etc. and I plan on running BFG 315/70/17's ( 34.5") with probably around the same ride height, so I was wondering what to expect with a similar sized tire. Nice truck, saw it at the expo.

The NITTO TIRES Crew MAX has our new Camburg Long Travel kit on it. This kit gets up to 16" travel with 4x4. We will also have this kit on display at SEMA on a truck owned by Toyota / TRD. This Toyota truck is absolutely insane!
The Nitto truck will also Be at SEMA so if you are going check them out!

On another note we also make these upper arms, They get great wheel travel as they are just about the same length as the 2006 Tundra longtravel upper arms. These new Tundras are so awesome!

Here is a picture of our new mid travel set up. almost 12" of travel! with our Long travel coilovers and uniball upper arms.

I don't have any rubbing with the 35's. Not only is the size of the tire going increase your chances of rubbing but also the offset of wheel that you have. Most 17"s available for the Tundra don't have enough offset due to the size of the brake calipers(which is why the trucks come stock with 18"s). At the shop we removed the mudflaps, played with the front of the fender liner and plated the body mount for more clearance. This is the same routine that we have been doing on the 05+ Tacomas an FJ's to put 285's on those vehicle for the past couple of years. It sounds like alot of work but takes our guys about an hour and when their done you can't even tell they touched the truck.

Yeah, the KMC's I'm getting have a 4.5 backspacing ( stock is 8ish i believe) I figured the body mount would need to be trimmed anyways. I already planned to run fiberglass fenders like the Donahoe truck had ( I'm actually getting the same KMC wheels too)

This is what I was looking at with your truck... Any more info on how much clearance it adds?

So to run 17's what kind of backspacing min required?

Ideally with with 07 Tundra you need to run around a 6" BS but due to the rotor size, that is not currantly possible with any 17"s that I know of. So with a little grinding on the caliper (obviously not recomended) and about a 4.5" BS a 17" will fit. With the 4.5" BS the wheel and tire are going to hang out of the wheel pretty far and going to make it difficult to fit the 35"s without serious trimming or fiberglass fenders. And I'm just basing the possible clearance issue of how tight everything is on my truck with a 6" BS wheel with a true 35" tire.
