of course its going to ride bad compared to the older tundras it has a much higher payload which means much stiffer which would mean much harsher ride, it rides worse than my silverado, because it has a higher payload, to be expected
It's too bad the Tundra didn't work out for you. My wife has an '06 Honda CRV. That little SUV is built like a little tank. I looked at the Ridgeline (briefly) in '06 before buying a Tacoma... the price and the dealer's refusal to compromise on the price scared me away. My wife loves her Honda, and it sounds like it will be a good fit for you.

I sold my Tundra today (after 5 months) and bought a Honda Ridgeline. I have owned 3 previous Tundras and been very pleased but the 2007 was unacceptable. The ride was jittery and harsh. Call it "bed bounce" or any other name....just poor design. I had a Limited with 20" wheels. The dealer changed them to 18' but it did not help. Also tried 500 lbs of weight in the bed...but still unacceptable. The shaking was so bad I could not even use my cell phone. Dealer was great but Toyota was unresponsive. This is the end of the line for my allegiance to Toyota. I have purchased over 12 Toyota's over the past few years but will now shop for other brands prior to my purchase. I cannot trust Toyota as I had in the past.
I love my new Honda....rides and handles beautifully. The trunk under the bed is an added bonus.
Maybe I will return to a Tundra if I have future need to pull a mobil home up a mountain.

Can't blame you at all.
I'm in the same boat as a long-time multiple owner of Toyotas.
But I'm not with you on the Honda. I'd rather walk than drive a Honda.

yea, I have owned a 98 Accord V6 (tranny replaced at 33,000mi), a 96 Accord LX, A 96 Accord EX and my wife currently drives a CR-V. One word comes to mind with Honda's "appliance"! Nothing more then a road going toaster! They get the job, with minimal cost, but personality... forget it!
One can't expect a vehicle capable of towing 10K+ LBs to ride like a much lighter 4 wheel independent suspension psuedo-truck. I am of the opinion also that set of bilsteins or edelbrocks at each corner would have been a much cheaper alternative than taking it in the shorts on a trade. Just my $.02 though. Enjoy your um, er, eh... uni-body thing that when asked, 6 out of 10 people would most likely call a truck.
Not trying to be a smarta$$ but don't rag on toyota as an inferior product when you were clearly not it's intended market.
I have a 05' oddyssey with the same motor that the ridgeline has in it. Plenty of power for a minivan. Hope I have better luck than you with my Tundra. Did you take a pretty bad hit when you sold it?
Damn that sux to see that your truck gave you that much trouble. I guess I got lucky or the DC may not have the prob. with the bed bounce. Mine has been a great ride though, no strange bounce whate so ever.
your're right, ahead of the new Toyotas by quite a bit
Wow, I could not disagree more. My Ridgeline was a piece of crap! One problem after another and I wasn't alone. On the RL forum, almost everyone has the same issues.
On the other hand, my Tundra hasn't been back to the dealer once and there is no need to go back. I don't have a single rattle or squeak and the thing is a monster. Meanwhile the RL was a complete turd.
From my experience, Honda is resting on it's laurels, I don't think their quality is what it used to be. Meanwhile, Toyota continues to put out top quality products. I have a garage full of Toyotas, I should know.
Bummer you didn’t like the Tundra - Love mine but it’s the newest in a long line of Toyota products (68 and 74 FJ40’s, 85 and 95 4Runners). I had lifted all these vehicles over the years so pretty much expect a stiff ride. My wife has had a Prelude and is currently running the wheels off a 98 CRV which in my opinion is one fabulous vehicle. We live in a rural area and so get a chance to see most vehicles in snow and mud etc. Guy up the street bought a FJ Cruiser and I really was thinking about one but was sold on the Tundra’s while at the dealer and saw what a massive vehicle it was. He also bought a Ridgeline and to be quite frank, I’ve never talked to him about either vehicle. I do see him go by quite often in his FJ hauling a trailer and his wife driving the Ridgeline almost exclusively. I’m not making inferences, just noting the drivers…. Hope it works out well for you!

12 Toyotas in 5 years, 1 gives you trouble and you're going to write-off Toyota entirely?
Guess you've never owner a domestic.............
The Tundra and Ridgeline are as different as night and day. They both have an open bed and 4 wheels, thats about where the similarities end.
If the Ridgeline makes you happy then you should never have shopped the Tundra in the first place. The closest competitor to the Ridgeline is a Subaru Baja.......great utility vehicle but NOT a truck.
Kind of says it all...but I still wouldn't mind havin' one of them old school Brats
