Maybe protection for those that high-center their trucks? Shear the bolt head and life would suck.

With 23,000 rounds, I changed my rear, transfer and front (in that order) yesterday with Royal Purple 75W90. I thought the job went pretty good. Even with the pump, the front is a messy job for sure! All and all, very easy.

I read how many had found the front to be the blackest with the most metal debris. In my case, the rear was by far the worst. After dumping the rear, I was beginning to wonder if the front would even pore!! The rear was black, the front was brown to almost gray in color and the transfer case looked like it could be re-bottled. Both front and rear had glob's on magnet with very small metal debris....nothing very large that I could see.

Anyway, thought I would share my experience with the change.
