Default 6 Inch or 3 Inch Lift.

Should I go 6 Inch or 3 Inch..

1)Is there a system that would allow me to adjust the lift of the truck..

2)Like maybe I want 4 Inch today but tommorrow I adjust a few screws/bolts and can lift to 6 inch?
3)Is there something like that for the rear also?
4)Would I require a custom setup?

Daily driving can you give me your experience and problems with a lifted truck. I live in NYC so no offroad for me.

Air bags.
Air Ride Technologies developed an enlarged version of their Shockwave for the military so they can easily raise and lower the ride height of the vehicles for easy transport in the cargo planes, etc. I actually got to listen to the discussion on the development of it, particularly as they pitched the idea to a large off road suspension manufacturer who seemed to like the idea. Universal Air has a similar set up for the Jeep Rubicon suspension. It allows for a lift of around 4-6 inches for increased articulation when rock crawling. Basically its a coil over shock minus the spring with a collar to allow for an air back in place of the spring.
