This should just be a plug and play.
I took mine to my local Toyota dealer and it turned into a 45 minute quagmire. I'm pretty sure that they have to hook it up and get the ECU's to speak to each other.

However, the guys there are certain that I don't have the actual alarm system........so........Mark at Sparks is searching to see if there is such a thing as the RS3200 by itself. Once it is confirmed that the ECU in the kit is either ONLY for the GBS or if it is in fact the ECU for the RS3200 AND the GBS, I will procede from there.

If you take it to a dealer before we figure out which ECU we have, and they get it to work, please send me a PM so I can have their man talk to the guys at my dealer.

Hey guys I am fairly new here and this my first post. I've been lurking around this forum for a couple of weeks and I think this is a great place. I too am considering getting this system you speak of and something stanton said just now reminded me of something I read. I cannot recall right now right off hand where I read it, but I think it was off the sparks download, where it states, that you have to the engine immobolizer option already preinstalled in order for this to work. Hope this helps Stanton.

Stanton let us know what you find out. I am in the same boat you are in. I have the parts installed in the truck, but so far it does not work. I was going to try to get to the dealer on Monday. I will wait to have the dealer attempt activation until you and Mark can update us.
Thanks

Thanks, my vehicle already has the immobolizer and I think thats standard on anything out then a "tundra" or "grade" level trim. I have been reviewing EVERYTHING and I still can't come up with an answer YET! I will keep everyone informed here.

Found some picture of an RS3200 for a FJ Crusier and a Solara. This is NOT in the kit from Sparks. Now the only question is is this already in my vehicle or do I need to buy one?

I installed the kit (including the GBS) form sparks in my Tundra Limited and the alarm part works fine. I have not tested to see if the GBS sensor works, I am under the impression that it is the GBS that must be enabled by the dealer ?

What is work for you? Does the horn sound when you open the door without the key or fob? How did you test that the "alarm" works?

There are 2 parts that come with the Sparks kit. The glass break sensor that goes under the climate controls and the ECU which goes behind the panel at the driver's left knee. Are these what you installed or was it more?

Also, you said the alarm system worked but you hadn't tried the GBS yet. Please elaborate, the alarm goes off when you open the door without using the key fob or key?

Mark, does any of the vehicles you currently have in stock have the RS3200 already installed?

ok, been looking for the last hour and half in the Toyota TIS2, which is supposed to have all the answers, and haven't found ANYTHING pertaining to the problems everyone is having. Upon the install on my end, hopefully it will not work when i get done and then we can find out why.

this is the first time i have done sonething and not wanting it to work right when i get done.

OK, I just put mine in and it is working great! I tested it by locking myself in the cab and waiting 30 seconds and clapping in front of the microphone and the alarm went off. I have the Limited and it has an alarm sticker on the window already. So maybe this is just an add-on to factory alarm?

Did your window sticker indicate you had an alarm? Had you tested the alarm before the install of the GBS by manually opening the door after 30 seconds?

Thanks
