No alarm to my knowledge, but I believe the truck went crazy when I opened the doors with the doors locked through the fob. Like I said, I'll double check when I have access to the truck

Make that two! I have the SR5 like Stanton 49. I don't want to remove it after getting in place. I did not keep the darn box. I am like most consumers and have no patience. I want it and I want it now.

Mark,

The wife just got home and I tested out the truck. I got in, locked the door with the fob and sat and waited a minture before trying to get out. To no avail, the horn and lights DID NOT go off. But I'm still curious as to why the jumper is there from the factory and not in the "storage" spot...

Either way, I'll be ordering the RS3200 kit when I scrounge up the money...

LTD here and the jumper was in postion and not in the corner. I just adjusted the mic and it has to be turned up to about 8 or higher to do the key on the window test. But it works GREAT!!!!! Mine has the sticker and the alarm does go off if the door is opened. I though this was a PCM "enable" thing but maybe not??

I removed mine and replaced it during my GBS installation and the radio and clock had to be reset so that short pin does more then just the alarm/GBS.

the jumper is there for the RKE to work, when the alarm is on it, you only need it for testing purposes. From what we have determined so far, our investigation is put on hold for a few hours, one of our bloodhounds (jamie) bumped his nose on the computer screen with a scratch and sniff joke.

Do I need to install both the ECU and the microphone for this to work?

I plan to do this over the holiday. I have a Limited CrewmaX 07 and the alarm goes off when I open the locked door. With the confusion over the VIP part just wanted to confirm

FWIW, I stopped by my dealership and there was a lot of confusion there as well. Ultimately, they said that the alarm (theft deterrent system) factory installed in my Limited is no diferent from the VIP alarm upgrade for SR5s and that all I needed was to add the GBS. They could not comment on whether I would have to bring it in to activate it.

you will need the little ECU box and the microphone to make the GBS work, since you do have the alarm system it will be a plug and play for you.........

lucky dog you are...........
