Mark, here is the great question for this thread.

For all vehicles except Limiteds, is the RS3200 already there and not activated, or is it not even installed?

Now send out the answer Bloodhounds!

Man, I'm confused and I used to be a mechanic! I, too, bought the GBS kit from Sparks and even the hood switch. I couldn't get it to work after install on my SR5 DC Sport (and I didn't keep the box, either).

Anyone care to guess how the hood switch plays in this confusion? Does it need to be activated, too?

I hate to have to go to the dealer to get this stuff activated - they screwed up so many things on dealer add-ons I'll likely never go back...

You would think since you have the remote control with panic and the horn and lights
go off. That it would be some feature to turn on.

In the meantime, can we OT here a bit about customizong parameters? At $40 per at my local service department, I am not looking forward to playing with PASSIVE MODE, let alone the other Main Body and Combo Meter parameters. It seems, though, that no aftermarker OBD II + CAN tool lets one set those. Is that true, or is there a way for those of us without the M-I-D?
