Seems they have made a few changes from 06 to 07's on Tranny fluid checks but not much and going 120K is kinda far fetched? I will be doing mine at 50K at Dealership with WS, i allready know what they will say, it does not need it and i will tell them i am paying for it and i will ask to watch them do it cause i have been taken advantage of during a previous Tranny service and if i can't watch they will not service! i will buy they WS and take it to someone that will let me watch!
I guess too soon for people to really know?
I JUST KNOW NOT AT 120000 MILES!
I think the 2007 Tundra's Aisin 6-speed automatic should be maintained the same way all other Aisin automatics have been maintained since 1973.
Simply perform a partial fluid change every 15,000 - 30,000 miles by removing the transmission oil pan, measuring the amount drained and pour back the same amount (approx 2.2 quarts).
TRANSMISSION PAN FILL PROCEDURE:
Heat three one quart bottles of new Toyota WS fluid new fluid to approx. 115 -130 degrees F in a sunny windowsill or similar place.
(a) Remove the refill plug and overflow plug.
(b) Fill the transmission through the refill hole until fluid
begins to trickle out of the overflow tube (approx. 2.2 quarts).
(c) Reinstall the overflow plug.
As with all other Aisin automatics dating back to 1973, there is no paper filter element that needs to be changed.

Why would you heat the fluid before putting it in the transmission?
The reason the transmission temp has to be at 115-130 degrees is the fluid has to be able to expand. This procedure is very accurate and if under filled or overfilled transmissions do not shift correctly. We have had WS fluid on other Toyota models for some time now.
We have done flushes on some. If you decide on a flush make sure the dealer has a separate WS flush machine. A while back we got memo's from Toyota saying if a fluid analysis is done after a failed transmission if it show any other type fluid ( Dextron ) in it that they would have a strong case on not warranting that claim. Even after a flush the correct fill procedure has to be followed to make sure the level is correct.

I will do a tranny flush on mine at about 60k. I do have a 07 Tundra. I also tow a travel trailer at times and some other smaller trailers as well as I also drive like an idiot. We have a stand alone flush machine at our shop.
The new Tundra Transmissions don't hold as much fluid as others in the past have. That is why the correct amount is so important.

Boy, I sure wish they had left a dipstick for the transmission fluid level.
With all due respect, how are we, the everyday laymen, really to know if it was properly done at the dealership? ... We just have to take their word for it?
But, don't they put some of the lowest paid employees, (lot attendants) in the bays for oil changes and transmission fluid changes? ... It's been my experience over the years that they really do not care about the details and levels. Not very confidence inspiring, not to mention the grease on the seats, steering wheel, and floor carpet.
By the time problems show up, it's probably years down the road.
The lowest paid employees do the Quick service items. The transmission service's are done by Toyota trained technicians, at least this is the way it is done in my shop.
Most dealers would not have a problem letting you watch I wouldn't think. I know at mine I don't have a problem with that. It usually takes about 20-30 min to get the transmission into the correct operating temp in order to check, drain or fill the tranny.
Toyota also supplied all of its dealers with a special pump to fill with.

Glad to see you are in Fort Worth. Atleast I know my tranny will be serviced correctly when I choose to get it changed.
