Question Bull bar, Vs tow hooks

Does anyone now if there is a bull bar istallation that would allow to keep the tow hooks. I must have the hooks, but i like to have the bar also.

Hildebrandt Mojave light bar allows you to keep you hooks, so does the light bar by Randy Ellis.

http://www.randyellisdesign.com/

However, the Mojave I have right now didn't allow me to reinstall my hooks, but they are sending me a fix for that free of charge and they said future light bars would allow for tow hooks. They just started making these for the Tundras and they think I recieved one of the prototypes.

I'm not a big fan of Bull Bars, so just throwing a couple other options atcha...

Yeah, I read that before I got it, but I think what they really mean is that you have to remove the hooks to install the bar. It doesn't say you can't reinstall them over the mounting plate. I had no issues reinstalling them.

I had the Westin Bull bar installed by 4 wheel parts, but the way it is built it does not allow you to install the hooks back on. So had it removed.
Thanks for the answers.

shouldnt the bull bar be strong enought to pull someone with if needed since its mounted onto the same place as the tow hooks? or are most bars made weak?

You would think someone would have one that would have a mount with a hook or something

Unfortunaly the bar is more for looks and/or light support, it is not strong enough to pull. But i went by today and purchase the SS bull bar for $219.00 plus tax (8.25%) I took a look at the installation and I be able to keep the tow hooks, since you are in Houston area it is very close to you, I dont know if Ican post all the info, it is is called Hunter truck accessories.
and they are in Stafford area, near Sugar land. PM if you like and I send it to you. This people is the same people that MANG posted from E bay motors.
I love this site.

One could possible design a spacer block to clear the bull bar (i.e. Westin) so that the stock tow hooks could be remounted. You would just need longer mounting hardware. Maybe this should be mentioned to Westin and others so they could offer it.

Hunter bull bars are just for looks. They are not functional at all. I've gotten one and it after a shopping cart hit it. I took it off and got a Westin grille guard instead. I do not recommand buying anything from Hunter.
