TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Rank these wheels on my slate please....", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Nailbiter did an excellent job photoshopping wheels on my slate metallic CM; GrungeTundra also helped me out with one. Please rank them; it is difficult and expensive so I am just asking for some opinions although I am not planning to purchase until spring with some of my tax money. Thanks to those of you who decide to help out. Feel free to let me know what brand the sema shiny wheels are in the attachment.

1 and 2 look the same. My opinion say's no way on 4 and 5. So 1 and 3 out of those choices. I am becoming a big fan of black and chrome together to help break up some of the chrome. I feel it flows better since the Tundra has so much black and chrome throughout. Just my 2 pennies.
I wanna puke. They all look like hell. And lose those skinny side wall tires!!
The heavy, gonky looking 2008 Tundra needs big stout tires. And then rip off that dumb front bumper. I don't know what the heck the Tundra designers were thinking about. ARB will soon be out with a bullbar for the 2008. THEN and only then will I trade in my 2005.
The factory optional 20" rims look great and a lot better than the stock 20" rims. And get 275/65R20 Goodyear Wrangler AT/S tires. Smooth, quiet and look great. That's what I run on my 2005.
Just my 2¢ worth.

The truck eats up 35s and makes them look like 30s, the intention of most people with those tire set ups goes 33-35, I doubt this fella is looking to put 29s on it. Remember, it was done on photoshop (and done very well).
ARB did come out with the bull bar, so get to trading!
Anyway, I like #1, #2

My Wrangler's are 34" and was hoping they would look good on the 2008. They are one of very few 20" tires in a 65 series sidewall. ARB has it out?? Happy day!!!!

I'm a big fan of Rim Option number three. I just like those ones the best. I actually was looking for a set of rims but decided to just leave the 20s on it that it came with. They're not the flashiest lookin' things but the truck goes back to Toyota in 2 and a half years so no need for me to make drastic purchases...
