Default Readylift 2.5"lift- Is it really level or does it look nose up?

I recently installed a Readylift 2.5" lift kit to level my '07 CrewMax. I initially was very happy with the results. I thought it looked much more aggressive. I since noticed that when I am behind the truck (i.e. when my wife is driving it) it looks like the rear is tilted down (even when the bed is empty). What has been the experience of people who have put front lift kits to level the truck? Should I also put a rear 1" lift to give it a slight nose down appearance?

I installed the Readylift 2.5" leveling kit in the front. I have noticed other people on this site who have installed front lift kits 2.5"-3" have also installed 1" rear lift kits.

Cool Re: Readylift 2.5"lift- Is it really level or does it look nose up?

I put a 3in Daystar on the front of mine and it looks a bit nose high. I checked the fender height from the ground and the front is actually 1/2 in lower than the back. Optical Illusion???

The back end of a truck will most always appear lower in the rear when driving than it does stopped on level ground.

Default Re: Readylift 2.5"lift- Is it really level or does it look nose up?

I saw a Tundra at the dealership yesterday with the Readylift and thought it looked front high. The only way to more accurately measure is to use a 36" long digital readout level on a flat slab. Then after taking a reading on the slab, place the level on the bed cap of the truck.
Personally, I am going for the Truxxx 3" because I want that extra 1/2" of lift in the front and the 1" in the rear. FatBob's Garage website has it for $275!!! That's what Santa is bringing me for Christmas!!!!

From where?!?!?! Did they balance your tires? Did they offer a Ready Lift at the same price?

Im in Houston and considered a Ready lift but i dont want to mess up my Gas mileage any more.

I am still debating though.

I got it from a local small shop and they didnt need to balance the tires...they did however have to have the vehicle aligned which was 59. more. I can give you the contact info if you are in S.A. and yes they can order anything you want.

I just got mine put on and aligned yesterday. I got the leveling kit from Top Gun Customz . It's the same setup as the Readylift, but it was only $99.00 shipped. I had a local shop install and do alignment for $200.00.
My truck seems to look pretty level now. I also just got a set of got a set of Nitto Terra Grappler 285/65-18's which gives it a nice look with the stock TRD wheels.
