Yes, squeeze the handle like you are going to lift it and slide it forward instead.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? that's great. It's too late for me to try it now, but I DEFINATELY will have to try that in the morning. That's awesome. Why haven't I figured this out before?!?! See, that's one of those little things that makes this truck worth while...

The seatbelt rattle, The radio having no pause or mute, and the passenger seat bottom angle (07) are my top three complaints. very minor, but still things that could be improved.

I do think the seats could adjust a bit more for comfort, and the steering wheel doesn't have much tilt (power tilt).

Overall, I LOVE my truck though!

If they gave us the perfect vehicles to begin with, they'd never have any improvements to make...

When I first picked it up, it had a full tank of gas. I drove it until the light came on, and within a few miles hit a gas station. It took 20.1 gallons of fuel. It supposedly has a 26.4 gallon tank. That means that the light comes on when there is almost 25% of a tank left. My last vehicle it was closer to 10%. I also noticed that, on my last vehicle (as well as my wifes minivan), the needle would not come off "F" until I had burned 3 or 4 gallons. Now it starts dropping off immediately. No big deal, just strange to see. But if there really is 6 gallons left in the tank when the light comes on, that might be a nice cushion when I am towing, to have that extra little comfort zone. I may throw a 5 gallon can in the bed and drive her empty some day and see how much gas she really takes. But with the tank lid on the drivers side and the roads I drive to and from work, that might not be worth it.... (For those curious, I am averaging almost 14mpg, and like I said, I am a very passive driver. Half my driving is highway and the other half is city.)
1st gen Tundra light comes on around 10% left. I think it is great to have the light come on early because if you are towing your burning fuel a lot faster than if not. Also...I really doubt the dealer topped off the gas.

I can only hope this is true. This is the only thing keeping me from committing to buy a CM next summer.

With regards to your voice command issue - please remember these are the United States. It only works if you speak spanish (you have to "press 2" to continue in English).

Couldn't help it.

one more thing to note - there IS a mute button on the steering wheel controls. Just push and hold the MODE button - you're radio will mute. Push the MODE button once more, radio is playing again... ouala!

oops, sorry - i just noticed that 07blackcrewmax had already posted this. yes, the mode button does turn the radio off, but at least its better than turning the volume knob manually or holding down the volume button on the steering wheel waiting for MAX volume to go down to 0 volume ;-)

Whenever my phone rings, my radio automatically shuts off...beauty of Bluetooth incorporated into the truck (I have the navigation, but I was almost certain that a lot of trucks came with bluetooth even without navigation...)

Agree with most everything except I like the recessed seat belt buckles (I can see how they'd be a pain for little kids)

I'd like to add that it does bug me that none of the window switches are back lit (except driver's) and that that when the window lock button is locked, the driver cannot control the windows unless the button is unlocked. (driver should be able to control all windows regardless of switch position)

Those cupholders are useless if you have a child seat in the middle of the back seat, and the bottle holders in the rear doors are meant for just that, bottles only, not for big gulp cups....
