Default Wiper blades are horrible...

4 months and my wiper blades are shot.......streaky and make horrible noises.

I've never had blades go bad so fast.......anyone else have this problem?

Should I bother asking them to warranty them?

Factory blades usually stink. They are usually just old, having sat for months before install on a new truck.

I run these: Trico Wiper Blades

So buy some new ones.... jeez... what are they now $5? Blade life has everything to do with where you live... cool wet environments they last longer than hot dusty dry ones, it's exposed rubber for goodness sake.

And don't get suckered into buying the $20 cartridges, just get new blades.

I had the same problem. Go back to the dealer and they should replace them. Even if you buy a new set, they are guaranteed for a year. I had my wipers replaced for the same reason and if the same thing happens to these, I will just continue to get free windshield wipers every 6 months.

Mine have worked great, and I live in a dry hot dirty area.

My new bitch about my truck is everytime I spend 5 hours detailing it, the wind blows or it gets rained on. Must be a defective truck, Lemon Law time, has happened WAY more than 3 times.

I hear that the wipers for these trucks are VERY expensive. I don't think you can just change the insert.

Yes, you can just change the "insert." And Rudy, as an engineer, I can build you a space shuttle, but rubber is rubber and that what you get for blades in your auto parts store, rubber.

These are the same type wipers as our 05' Avalon. The dealer charges about $50 each for the replacements. The Avalon blades lasted about 14 months then time for new ones. The alternative is Rain-X. If you keep using worn out wiper blades you will scratch the windshield and that is a very expensive replacement...
