Question Another Remote Start Question

This is for anyone who has actually installed the sytem themselves, not by an installer.i have an 08 tundra and want to install the remote start i had in my previous vehicle.i have searched and read through numerous threads but have not found my answer.i need to know what transponder bypass module is being used as part of the install.i've done a search online, but couldn't actually figure out which one would work the best.thanks for all the help on this,i would like to get this installed soon being that is getting to damn cold now to just jump in the truck and go or leave it running unlocked.

I used the key in the box bypass it uses a factory programed key to bypass the imobiliser system. I cut the key so it can not be used in the locks or ignition. The nice thing about this system is thast there are no conections to factory wiring so zero chances of causing problems with the factory immobiliser. I've installed these systems for over ten years without problems.

That's what they did with my install as well - integrated the valet key, which is no big deal, since I'm not the valet type anyway. This was on an Astro Start, not sure what brand you're using or if it matters.

I've been installing auto start/pollar start (same company) for over ten years without it ever causing a problem to the vehicle. just remember to send a negative pulse when starting to the key sense wire to disable the factory alarm also use a diode on that wire to prevent feedback. Your park lights and brake light feed i got at the connector for the brake controller. I put mine on the weekend turned out super clean hard to tell there is a remote starter under the dash.
