TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Pre-runner light bars???", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Does anyone on here have a pre-runner style light bar on their rig?? I can't seem to find any pics anywhere. I've had a couple of these mounted on trucks in the past, and was thinking that one would be Hawt with the TopGun lift I have on the way.

That is all right, but I'm not looking for anything that beefy. I just don't want to mount my Hella's right on the bumper or behind the grille. Thanks for the pics though.

Have you seen the WESTIN Bull Bar? I've got the black powder coated one on mine and it has two light tabs in the lower bar for mounting above. I just haven't gotten around to a pair of KC's yet...or whatever. But that's much less obtrustive than the bad boy pic posted. My $.02.
I have an N-Fab Prerunner on order for $395 with my dealer. They are
presently being produced and have been released to a few people so far.
They are working on getting some pic's of one mounted for me within the
next couple of weeks. I will post when they send 'em.
OH, and I called Camburg a couple weeks ago about that prerunner.
They said they could produce one for my truck, BUT the truck would be
held hostage to fab it in place until completion. Couldn't bear the separation
once I get it......

Can you post pix of your's? I have a pyrite DC and was wondering how the black looks versus the chrome.
Don't like the bull bars. Too low to the ground, like my tow hooks. I checked N-Fab, they had no listing. If you have a part number when you get yours, please let me know.

Pro Comp had a prerunner style light bar made to accept four lights. It was a new production item that I believe was being made by Smittybilt, one of Pro Comps sister companies.
This is similar, but not exactly the same looking as the one they were going to put on my truck. It is made for the chrome bumpers. Doesn't work on the Limited plastic bumpers. Street Bar - Smittybilt

It'll cost you 2, maybe 3 times as much, but you could always design one yourself and have a metal fab shop build it for you. Something like that isn't hard at all to build.
Smittybilt also has one listed on their website for the 2007 Tundra, but I heard they went bankrupt. Pre-Runner - Smittybilt
