Default 2009 Tundra - changes?

I'll start the proverbial "next years model" thread. Anybody know what going on with the 09 Tundra? Facelift rumor have any truth? Any interior changes? more decontenting? 5.7L tweaks?

A recent thread would be good 09 addition - rear window deicer for the DC. Somebody has info out there care to share

it's anybody's guess, but IMO any changes, including the instrument cluster, are very unlikely. Just look at the 08 Sequoia...

The 1st Gen Tundra and the current 4Runner both had cosmetic changes in their 4th year of production. That would be 2010 for the current Tundra.

Rumer has it. Diesel. 3/4 and one ton trucks. Lots and lots of power. Look out Dodge, Toyota is coming.

Toyota generally hangs on to their models for quite a while before a body change, and if theycome out with a diesel i will have to trade my '08 in!

Direct injection, more power, and minor cosmetic tweaks in 2010 to compete with the increase in power by the big three. (wild guess )

I load my Raptor 700R fully fueled with gear(over 400lbs) up two ramps into it constantly. No issues.

Black chrome wheels will be an option. I have a good friend who works for the toyota wheel manufacturer, he mentioned to me that their already producing them, and can get me a set for peanuts!
Don't own one yet, soon, and it will be in pure stealth mode!

Here's my list (I won't buy without any fix indicated with *):

*1. Strengthen tailgate
*2. Improve dash material (currently has scratch issues)
3. Improve exterior paint quality
*4. Get rid of cheap interior plastics (needs general improvement in interior)
5. Larger fuel tank to increase range a bit

I'm hoping to purchase in Fall 2008 (a 2009 model). My house will be payed off and zero debt. Yahooooo!
