Finally fixed that stupid cord thing that holds the gas cap on. Here's the steps:

1. Open gas lid
2. Use wire cutters to remove cord.
3. Discard

Just wondering if your cord has a funny curve kink in it ?? Mine does and it sort of looks like it was just mashed during assembly, never think to look at another one if I am checking out the ones on the lot...

mine has that kink in it too... i also thought it got pinched during assembly... guess that is the way the made it, to look like it was broken.
