Default Navigation Question

I just bought a 2008 Crewmax Ltd 4x4. It came with the Navigation system. For some reason it misunderstood my voice commands and there are icons that show up and remain showing up on my navigation (i.e. icons for all gyms and parks). How do I get rid of them?

Push the steering wheel button...say the command " Hide all Icons"...there ya have it. Speak slowly and clearly....Ive got the same problem when I speak too quickly.

Thanks guys...I will try that. I think the system does not recognize my southern draw (only drawback from being in the SOUTH!).

Ha..that reminds me of my college roommate. He had a software program that typed his papers for him as he talked. Unfortunally, it didn't compensate for his KY accent. He was always yelling at the computer..NO..NO..then it would type, "no, no"..then he would yell delete, backspace...as you can see..it was quite humorous.
