Backup camara ordered, Where do I get nylon removel tool (NRT). Sparks $50 Matt said to get one at auto parts store. Is there more than one kind. Never seen or used one. Have NAPA,Checker or Auto Zone stores in town. Part No. would help. Thank You. "Have a Great TUNDRA Day"
IMO, you do not need one. I just did the install (All by myself) and at no time did I feel that I needed one. I substituted a long flathead screwdriver or some other comparable instrument when the directions recommended the NRT.
A nylon panel tool is a must have item in the tool box for taking apart a cars interior. I have a metal one and a nylon one but I only use the nylon because the metal one scratched my old trucks dash once. I bought mine at Auto Zone for about $10.
Thanks . I'm kind of handy and know I can do the install , just had to have a little more info. Jumbo jet. I remember, We have TWIN Tundras but we are more than 50 miles apart. How yu been.

I do agree with you that one is needed for general interior work. I was speaking in reference to the B/U cam install specifically.
go anywhere that does window tinting, and they'll have them. it's actually a glass/windshield tool. it's something pretty much any window tinter in the country will have several of in their toolbox for window gaskets. llumar window films sells them for about a buck, i have about a dozen or so of them in my toolbox of various sizes, shapes, and flavors

lol, oh yeah I remember my arch nemesis. I'm doing great, thanks! How bout you? Still havent seen another silver Limited pass thru my town yet......... but the day will come.
We had them at a paint shop I worked at. I'm not shure what they are actually called or where to get them but it was a plastic stick with a flat end on one side and a blunt end on the other side. We used them to peel off stickers and tape from plastic and painted surfaces without messing up the paint. We also used when masking complicated parts, used them to make shure the tape was stuck down.
I installed the camera without it. I think it says to use it to pull the rear overhead cover off. I just grabbed it and pulled down, it came off with no tools.

Installed mine myself also. The nylon tool is hard to find. I used a plastic puddy knife I found at HomeDepot. Cost $1.45! worked great.
