You might be able to stretch some of that insurance money, as the dent can be removed, the bumper scuffed up, and then painted the color or your choice. It'd look brand new. It's likely the same scenerio with the trip piece too.

If the bumper can go back into alignment after the dent is repaired, just paint it and be done. You will have to go through the metal prep system to do it right, but it willl be a hell of a lot cheaper that way.

The rebar on the sport bumper is different other than that I don't know

Not This Dent And The Local Body Shop Only Estimated Mine At 100 Over My Deductible........and As It Happened In A Private Parking Lot The Mustang Will Get Fixed With No Deductible And I Will Not Push My Insurance Any Over My Bumper.....but I Do Have A Friend Who Paints And Can Get That Done For Materials And He Wont Paint The Chrome Bumper As I Asked Before The Accident

And I Was Quoted $469 On A Chrome Replacement And $213 On The Limited Cover....and Since I Would Have To Do Some Paint Either Way I Thought Why Not Just Replace The Chrome One And Go From There.....

I don't blame him. Painting over chrome is taboo in a body shop. It can be done, but it is tedious and most shops won't do the work unless they can stand behind it. You should be able to just replace for a sport bumper, but you will need the rebar for some sort of protection
