TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Santa Was Early!", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Nothing too big. Just received the Borla exhaust for Christmas. Installed it myself. Took awhile since I have no lift and did it by myself. It was fun trying to manipulate one's body to hold thing under the Tundra! I am still sore.
It looks good, but you need a MIZZOU license plate holder instead.
How much?
Mizzou!
Santa sent it from Sparks for $819 shipped. The sound is great. When I first started the truck, it sounded like nothing changed. That is, until I walked to the back. It had a nice soft rumble. It sounds even better when you give it some gas (1500+ rpm). I have not driven it over 65 yet. It got a little loud at 60 but tappered down again at 65.
Awesome! I haven't seen it on anything other than my black truck.
You got an awesome price, too. I paid for it when they didn't have discounts so I got it installed for a chunk of change MORE than what you paid.
You're going to love it, if you're anything like me, you'll be testing out your Christmas present on Christmas for quite a long time haha. I got mine on July 18 and still find excuses just to hear my exhaust.
Darn right! I can't wait for the first excuse to pass someone! Now I just need to decide on an intake.
Lol, nahhh you can't wait for an excuse to "Christmas shopping" at the local mall with a underground parking garage. You might need to buy a new pair of boxers while you're in there haha. Passing large buses is amazing as wel because they all look over and are like, "dayumm"
Damn!!!!!! I love the way the tips look coming out of the back. You did a great job... I would love to hear a sound bite if you can get one. I think this year I'll be spending my "extra" Christmas money on trying to fill the fuel tank for my furnace .........

whats the performance gain supposed to be on this? AS good as zoomers or no?
I don't think so. Was not too concerned about performance gains. It is just a cat-back system. I am sure once a set of headers are installed, then there would be some gains by it.
