TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "toytec or truxx ?????", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Either, I chose Truxxx because I didn't want to cram a spacer in the coil pack. Instead, I crammed the spacer on top of it. No added "stiffness" and still have all the stock travel.

I put the Toytec on and compressing the coil spring was not that bad. I love the lift and haven't noticed any rougher ride from it. It took about 4 hours to do it in between beers. I put the add a leaf in the rear and have noticed no bad effects from it.

Hi Guys, Iam getting ready to lift the 07 tundra. I need you input on the toytec vs truxx lift. I caint seem to make the decision.
Thanks
Mike
Does the Truxx come with a diff drop?? The Toytec does, which takes the stress off your CV joints and boots. Also, I was told, with a grain of salt, that the above shock tower spacers can cause over extension of your axles if going over 2 inches of spacer. You see, even though the inside coil spacer compresses the coil a bit, the shock mount remains in the same position and controls the travel so as not to overextend the axles. Just his two cents worth but I bought it because it made logical sense.
