I lost about 1 mpg when I swapped out my BFG's for the Goodyear silent Armors. I was hoping to pick up some mpg with my tonneu but nothing really noticable. Average in the 15's with lots of interstate 75-80mph driving.

My first tank was pretty low there, about 12 mpg. At 600 miles I took my first road trip to Macon, GA from Fayetteville, NC. On the way there I kept the cruise locked at 80 and only slowed down in Columbia and in Agusta. I averaged 15.4. On the way back I kept the cruise locked at 65 and managed 19.0 even. 2008 double cab 4x4.

15.4 on the last fillup and that is with 33" tires. Mostly short trip driving.

My 4x4 CM with 20" BFG AT tires started out getting 9mpg in town. I now have nearly 3k miles and average 16.0 cruising down the highway at 75. It does improve over time.

However these additions would greatly add to the price of the truck, and Toyota elected not to use them. My other point was that there are things that toyota will not add because they make too much money on them in the aftermarket ex: bedliner.
OK we are more on the same page in this post except with the bedliner. My truck came from the factory with a bedliner at the cost of $325
