thank you. I think I will give this a try. I don't have the shocks or the sway bar so I'll see if this with the shurtrax I have work in combination better.

Toyota is working on it.
When the 2000 Tundras had the brake issue, it took Toyota several months to come up with the solution.
It's NOT an overnight fix.
I hope so but... I'll believe it when I see it.
Do a search & you'll find that the earliest complaints go back to last spring, yet still no "official" word from Toyota or its dealers.
Just throwing something out here. Does anyone that has the bed bounce problem have a spray-in bed liner? Not sure if it would help or not, but it would add weight and they are kind of a rubber material. So they should help with vibrations and rattles. Just an idea!
I have recently read some bit of new info on tundraheadquarters on the insufficient effectiveness of the pad on poor stretches of concrete freeways (from someone who tried the pad solution) and the fact that the pad gradually loses its effectiveness over time due to loss of spring action (from the guy who started this "cure" posting) and it has left me quite discouraged. You see, I just received my ‘pad’ from amazon yesterday and had planned on putting it to use this weekend. Now I don’t know if it’s really worth the trouble. But, given my curious nature, I will try it anyway and take the truck on stretches of the 210 freeway (in SoCal) where I “know” the truck shakes/bounces/vibrates to the point where I think it’s gonna come apart. I’ll report back afterward. BTW, has anyone tried these?https://www.sulastic.com/default.aspx (watch the comparison video). There are also some videos on Youtube showing the functionality. Don't know if it will solve the ‘bed bounce’ issue, but it looks like it might help with some of the vibration. Also, I've sent in my complaint (via email) to Toyota, submitted the same complaint on the safecar.gov website and took the 'bed bounce' survey on toyotahq. I suggest that everyone who is experiencing this problem notify (through email or phone) as many sources as possible to hopefully expedite a resolution from Toyota.

I've noticed a significant improvement by changing the rake of the truck. I lifted the front 5 inches, only 3 inches in the rear. While still there, the bounce is much better and actually bearable now.
For awhile I had a spring pre-load lift (Revtek) in the front, which made the ride and bed-bounce much worse.

I have the sulastic shackles. They have reduced the freeway harmonic quite a bit, but not completely.
What section of the 210 are you talking about? I'd like to give my truck a test there as well...
I have been thinking about buying a Tundra, but after reading about this problem, and because I live in the Los Angeles area, I have decided to put it off until Toyota takes action towards resolving this. I had been set on a Titan, but Nissan just does not seem to want to take care of the problems with the rear diff, axle seals, and front 4x4 stub axle problems. I am 6' 4" and 240lbs and need a large vehicle, and I want a 4x4 and still want back seat room with passengers. Not a lot of choices. Tundra looked good until I began researching the bounce problem. I have seen the 3 videos that show this on the net. WOW! Looks like frame flex to me.
I have to think that metal fatigue will become an issue eventually. I drove a friend's 07 on I-86, the Southern Tier Expressway, in NY yesterday. That road is baaad, with wide expansion joints. It is unpleasant in my 05 step-side, but downright scary in the 07 Tundra.
I'm sorry, but the bed bounce is NOT limited to SoCal. I live in Washington (state) and there are sections of freeway here that are concrete pads and my '07 Tundra DC bounces to the point that I think that it will fall apart. The dealer here claims they have never heard of the problem (Yeah right!). At night, you can see the headlight pattern bouncing in the distance as you drive along. There's a video on you tube showing Ford reps talking about differences in F150 and Tundra and they show test track vid where the Tundra bed bounces and flexes so badly that it actually dents the back of the cab. For such a great truck (Tundra) it really amazes me that Toyota could miss such a serious issue such as this.

My friends have riden in my truck and start laughing cause the bouncing is so bad. Anybody that doesnt believe how bad the bed bounce is here in souther cali should come down and they can drive my truck..

Name the freeways and the milepost numbers, cause I don't believe it. I have driven all over WA State and have never experienced anything abnormal. Is this your first truck?
