TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "indicator question?", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I live i n alaska and it's currenty -41F and my auto dimming mirror and compass went out (i'll have the dealership fix that. But I also have an indication on my oil pressure gauge. It was a yellow ! surrounded by a half circle. My oil pressure was fine by the way. I looked in the manual and it said it was tire pressure warning. It just doesn't make sense. Why would it be on the oil pressure gauge?
thanks
the tire pressure light isn't on the oil press. gauge its just right next to it.i think they put a couple of other idiot lights in places that look weird to.
ha-good luck up there at eielson, i was there for 6 years from 98-04...355FS yeah...by the way, did you buy your tundra there, cuz i had a tacoma i bought in the lower 48 and there was an oil line on the bottom of the engine that froze solid while i was driving...toyota towed my truck to fairbanks and winterized like the ones they sold in alaska, so just make sure your truck is all good...lots of heaters, antifreeze to -60, etc...is your windshield cracked YET? Have fun playing on manchu...
LOL...I was gonna say at -41 degrees...Im surprised you got ANY lights working....

-41 is average...when i was there we hit -67 degrees...feels like your riding on a skateboard...shocks freeze, seats freeze, door seals freeze, windows won't roll down...it's ridiculous
ive read on here someplace that the tire presure sensors dont like the cold. The guy was saying hes tried messing with the presures and nothing really changes it. he just ignors it. Another person said they had the same problem on their 4 runner, when the took it into the dealer they replaced the computer that moniters the tire presure..hope that helps
there's another thread somewhere on this board where a guy in Alaska said his wife's 4runner had the same problem (tire pressure monitoring system light going off) when it gets too cold.
Thats me and the little yellow circle thingy with the exclamation mark is a sign that one of you tires is low on air pressure, unless its like my wifes 4runner and I mess with issue every winter when the temps drop like today. Check your tires! I feel your pain brotha!
