TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Are their many trucks like mine?", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
When I was shopping for my truck I had a hard time finding one with all the options I wanted. Had to have it shipped from another state. Are their many D-cabs, Limited with TRD and NAV?
Mine is a DC LTD TRD w/Nav and heated seats and and and and....
Hell its got stuff that I dont even know about YET !!

I originally special ordered this exact spec...after 3 months and it not even being built yet I went out and bought a Lexus...got tired of waiting.
Obviously, I eventually got a Tundra...Limited, TRD, DC...but NO Nav...as it would have complicated things once again...dunno why

I wanted one of the fast Tundras (no NAV availabe) so I installed my own NAV. Immediately after the install, wifey and I traveled over 1500 miles..........never missed a single turn.

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience!
I do, it's called a Garmin and it easily moves from one vehicle to the next.

+1
Had to look a long time before I could find a LTD WITHOUT all the extra options like Nav and TRD. Here in TX they like to give you all that overpriced port installed junk and package in extended warranties as well. I actually ended up having to buy one with one option, the backup camera.
I will post this again for those who are interested... we had the same problem (finding a limited CM 5.7 4x4 white/redrock w/ sunroof and nav. We found one with everything but nav... so we took it and ordered the factory Toyota NAV unit from a Toyota dealer in Canada. For Toyota Canada they have a kit you can purchase (and have the dealer install if you want.) This kit is the factory NAV (E7013) for the 07/08 Tundra w/ everything you need (including the DVD.) It not as ideal as finding what you want on the lot... but it is an option and it worked great for us... now we have exactly what we want.
(and the US dealers do not anything abou the NAV kit in Canada and they can't order it. My dealer here didn't believe that i was actually going to get the factory NAV unit.. he was very surprised when i showed up the next day with the factory nav installed in my 2 day old Tundra.)

Ditto vehicle. I pretty much wanted her loaded, and that's what I got.
For 37,000 I was very pleased: this truck cost $10,000 less than my 99 loaded V10 Dodge and is way nicer! Factory Nav is so well integrated with bluetooth phone, backup camera and stereo. Worth the cost in my mind.
And no, I didn't have a lot of trouble getting this truck, although like you I had to have the dealer transfer from another dealer, so it had 250 miles on the ODO when I bought it.
Love it, by the way. 4800 miles in 6 weeks. That includes a couple of long road trips.

I totally agree about the port installed junk. GST is a huge rip off. They try to add $1,000 to every Toyota for scotch guard, wax, and tire warranty. I hope this truck lasts a long while. I would hate to make a long road trip to purchase another one outside GST territory.
