TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Harley Davidson Edition Tundra", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I was at the local coffee shop yesterday and saw a 2007 or 2008 Tundra DC (black, of course ) done up in Harley trim. Some decaling/ badging down the sides and on the tonneau, but what really grabbed me were some chromed front fender duct/vents ala Ford Superduty (but sportier).
Unfortunately I didn't have a camera to snap some pics and when I went back a couple of hours later with a camera, it was gone.
Has anyone seen one of these? I am interested in those fender vents, they looked pretty sweet.

Buy your truck outside of the Gulf States Toyota monopoly if you don't want to compromise.
As far as I know, Ford has an exclusive contract with HD. Sounds to me like someone just stuck some fake vents made out of chromed plastic and screening material on their fenders...Yuck.
I'm the polar opposite of a Harley fan, but there's nothing wrong with the HD F150. It's a clean truck with some sharp lines...
A Harley Davidson Edition Tundra would be surprising because one of the main marketing messages for a Harley is that riding a big Honda or Kawasaki isn't the same thing. Putting HD on a Toyota would be kind of like saying it doesn't really matter.

There are all kinds of different editions of the truck, TSS, Texas, Lucchese, it all boils down to where you are in the country. What they are trying to say is, HD probably didn't give their blessing to this edition. This Harley edition is probably something the dealership or an individual cooked up.
Not to ruin the fun, but I have a "Browning addition" Tundra.
Yeah, I have a Walther edition...IE, there's a 9mm in the console.
Like someone else said...some duche nozzle jujst added all of that crap onto a Tundra to try to look cool. I'm dure Ford has exclusivity and HD would never co-brand with Toyoter.

I agree, the Harley trim ruined a perfectly good truck, but those vents as I say, looked really sharp.
it should be prety easy to find those tacky stick on fender vents. just search ebay. or try searching for stealthauto. they make all kinds of that goofy stuff.
to each his own, but if you post pics once you get them, be prepared to get razzed.

harleys do have a bad rep. i have always hated them myself. but after doing some research, the new 96 cube engine of theirs is prety stout.
and as for the HD f-150. fords suck. but a 450hp, S/C, 1/2 ton. sounds badass to me. and i imagine with a pulley, intake and exhaust. that truck would be close to 500hp. im sure it would give our tundra a good run for the money.
