TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Anyone get thier leg cut on the door?", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
There I was jumping out of the truck too quickly and caught my leg on the bottom corner of the door, it left a pretty good scratch. It comes to a very good point. My wife has also done it three times. One time left a pretty good cut on her leg.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Just want you to know that you are now cursed. I made the same type of smart a$$ remark when this same post was started a few months back. About a week later I ended up taking a chunk out of my calf while shutting the door in a hurry.
Instead of learning doors I suggest you learned how to not curse loudly when this happens in front of your children.
im 25 no kids.. i curse a lot. i get cut everyday at work ( im a mechanic ) the only incident that has happened getting in and out of my truck is one of my friends was looking down when stepping in and nailed his head on the passenger o shnap handle..it was awesome!
oh man, i have done it about 3 times with the edge of the door. i must say i have cut the total heck outta my leg. i had shorts on twice and it got me really good and i had blood everywhere and the other time i had long pants on and it still cut my leg open. very easy to do.
I warned the wife about it after reading a post and 2 months later it got her to.
so far i have been lucky and remember to keep an eye on it. It does help that i use a cane and it usually hits the cane first, i do have some battle scars on the cane. but so far not on my leg
LOOK - If you can't afford the blood, you shouldn't have bought a truck!

Buy your truck outside of the Gulf States Toyota monopoly if you don't want to compromise.
Maybe y'all should get a pack of leg stickers and every time the door gets you put one on the bottom of the door that way you can keep score !!!

If there are no stickers on your truck after years that should definately increase the resale value !!!
