Man, that truck looks really good! I was planning on going with some 24's but I really like the look of your truck.
Also, in regards to your problem, I built a '72 nova with my brother a few years back and it had the same problem. He did some research and was told that the rear axle was offset from the factory. It had something to do with the balancing and harmonics of the drive shaft and u-joint angle. I have only seen this issue a handful of times in the last 7 years so I don't know if I really buy his answer. I don't think this helps much. I just really wanted to say your truck looks great.
Here you go, Erik. Added another shot since it turned out to be a pretty day
oh yea one suggestion Debadge your Truck with those logo. Remove the Tundra ,Limited, 4wd all that logo crap. I think it would make your truck better looking. Also see if you can have someone color key your mirror's/grill or buy color keyed handles vs the chrome. I'm not sure if you like chrome or not but i feel too much chrome makes the car/truck less perfect. Since I love the look your going for and it look's like a sport truck I would seriously review some option's hear and do some custom touches to set your crewmax out from a normal Tundra.
Again these are suggestions still look's great and thanks for the pict
Erik

Thanks for the suggestions, Erik. I considered debadging and color keying but I think I'm gonna wait a bit to see if this current look grows on me. I wish I could tint my front windows but the cops are tough on enforcing the tint law around here. Getting lots of thumbs up on the road, though!

Looks real good Fins. I would say your bed is probably off a little in terms of one side being shifted over. Mine is over more than half an inch to the driver's side, but with the lift it isn't noticeable. You could always loosen the bed bolts a little and give it a tap towards the other side to center it up. Just a thought.
Oh to answer Scotts question, yes it is still a truck.
My Silverado is lowered 2-4 on 22s with 285/45-22 tires, looks real good, rides real good and with the addition of air bags in the rear, can and have hauled and towed more than my truck could stock. 25 PSI in the bags and hauled 1,500 pounds of feed with not a wink of a problem. Hauled rocks, lumber, bricks, you name it. Pulls a 30 foot boat real nice.
hey, went out and looked at my truck and it is the same. passenger sits flush with stock 18s and drivers side sits in an inch or two. i am going with +40 offset 22s so will see what difference the 5mm makes. wouldnt worry about it, damn truck looks good as hell

Rob, you talking about the rears? that's a freaking huge difference from mine. don't know if 5mm would make much of a difference. That's only .2". still good to know i'm not alone on this. gonna place a call to McGaughys wednesday and we'll see what they say.

i am thinking it is the same at stock height, just not noticeable. then when lowered it becomes a little more obvious. i would have never noticed my stock wheels doing that unless you had said something and posted those pics. will be interested what mcgaughys says, probably a toyota thing, not a lowering/mcgaughys thing?? maybe??
They had the same thing happen to their test Tundra where the rear wheels proturded unevenly on each side. The wheel size, offset, and tire width can make these differences more exagerated with the 2/4 drop. They are trying to figure out a way to compensate for this problem when they introduce their 4/6 drop. Bottom line: it's the truck, not the drop kit. Problem resolved -- time to order fender flares to disguise the wheel protrusion.
BTW: McGaughys handle this very professionally.
