Would I be able to lower mine with the same kit and still use the stock tires and wheels?

Go with the SOS, drop your 4x, and theoretically you will launch better than us 2 wheelers ever will... that is, provided you are comfortable dropping the hammer in 4Hi. Hey, as long as you don't exceed 62MPH you should be good.

Hey guy's, the difference on the rears has nothing to do with drop. I just installed 22" U2-35's and 305/40/22's on my 07 CrewMax. It is not lowered but I do notice a slight difference. I will have pics coming soon. Really don't like the fender flares, so not sure what my next move will be.

I may try to check with my dealer to see what kind of input they have.

Post those pics when you get them. The axle is definitely offset from factory. My flares will be installed this weekend.

Thanks, Mike. These are McGaughys 2/4-5 kit. I used the 4" drop setting. They use front coils and rear flip kit. Picked it up at Streetbeatcustoms.com for $489 shipped which includes a pair of McGaughys rear shocks. Installed for a couple of hundred. Pretty straight forward install according to my mechanic. I'm very pleased with the kit.

just a thought, on those flip kits, were they centered up when they tighted the u bolts back down? the last kit i installed the flip kit centering hole was a bit large and allowed the rear to shift one way or the other during the install.
Just a thought. seen your flare pics, just marvelous...............

Thanks Mark. Also thanks for the suggestion. I'll have it checked out.

I am in the market for a lower and wheels as well and yours is up there as one of the best looking lowered full size trucks I have seen. I am curious, have you hit any small bumps and rubbed any anywhere, or have any rubbing lock to lock? Also, how much where the rims/tires together shipped and all?

Thanks, TRD. There's enough meat on the 305/45-22 tires that absorbs small bumps -- little firmer than stock. Absolutely no rubbing lock-to-lock. Whole package including sensors was around $2500 from rimzoneonline.com. They were great to work with.
