Default I messed up and need some HELP!! (Crewmax 3rd Brake Light)

Installing my Sirius and everything is going fine. I get to the antenna and dont want to do the windshield thing so I try and do the third brake light. I tried to fish the wire by loosening the studs and could not do it. I loosened the nut some more and it fell in!!! I tried to fish it out but cant find it. Can I remove the whole assembly? It seems there is something holding it in the middle! HELP!!

I did the same thing when I ran my antenna. You can remove the entire light. On the outside, after you remove the 4 screws holding on the brake light cover, there is a tab in the middle that holds the light assembly in. After you have already removed the 10mm bolts from the inside, you just have pry that tab up a little to remove the whole light fixture. You should be able to see the nut you dropped. Hope this helps.

Damn, I hate when that happens. The harder you try, the more down the tubes you go. You are smart to walk away for a while.......

Well its all kind of sorted...used some silicone to hold for now, will need to order a new light this week, they dont sell just the backing plate so I guess I will have some spare stuff. The good news is its all in, looking good and working well. Even hardwire connected my V1, with the remote display in that useless dash pocket to the left of the radio and it looks sweeeet!
