My door panels rattle with the stock door speakers, no sub. After the first week of driving it I thought that the speakers were blown out and took it back to the dealer. Of course I couldn't reproduce the problem while sitting there looking stupid to the tech. Later I realized that if there is anything in the door pockets, especially in the door bottle holders, you will get a rattle. Also the little sunglasses holder in the door handle rattles as well. I'm guessing that dynamat will fix that problem and would love some feedback from someone who has already addressed the issue.

You have a sub, If you have the JBL 12 speaker system. Next time you go to the dealer, try to put in a CD with lots of BASS & turn it up, if it's anything like mine, it would rattle like crazy, i also find that if i open the sunglasses holder on the door, the rattle goes away, i think the problem is in the way the door is put together, i don't think dynamat would work.

Hell my 6-speaker non-JBL has a bunch of bass. I have to have my bass setting on -4 to make it bearable! (and the treble has to be on -3)

I think the problem is too much bass in the doors. First of all, who puts a 6X9 in a door, I think a 6X9 has similar cone area as an 8in speaker. I set the high pass filter on my head unit (aftermarket) to take out everything below 80hz, no more buzzing or rattling.

I don't have the JBL system is what I was saying.
I have the standard 6 speaker system.
I still have the door rattle.
I need dynamat.

Ditto on the MB QUART
I have 6.5 component MB QUART running off a 2x50 in my TACO and love it!!! Soo efficient and ditto on the bleeding ears.

Also at the top of my efficiency list is the Orion XTR DVC 12 and Orion XTR250 (2x50) running it. With the gain almost all the way down on the amp and on the EQ it still makes my nose itch. Oh and the Orion setup is 10+ years old and still strong as hell
The TACO is like a concert hall. Now for the Tundra...

Hows the dynamat doing for that door rattle factory option

My three 12" Alpine Type Rs in a large ported box and 3800 watts RMS should rattle the truck but you can't hear it over the output. If you close the windows and play a 20HZ note the door panels move back and forth 1/2 an inch in each direction. Not only is the new regular cab Tundras very acoustic, they have flat output with no peaks and valleys in the output like my hatchback car I had setup audio in before.

To hear someone say too much bass seems blasphemous but I've finally found it. It causes instant ear pain and blurs your vision tremendously. I can't play it wide open anywhere without feeling like an *******.
