Exclamation Toyota/TRD Parts Prices to Increase Jan 2nd (?)

Hey everyone,
Recently I had an email conversation with a rep from TRDparts4U.com, toyotapartsales.com, and fjcruiseroffroad.com. I was inquiring about an OEM replacement grille and comparing two different part#'s. The rep was a tremendous help, honestly. She explained the two in detail more than my own parts department people could tellme face-to-face. She also quoted me a very good price, lower than ebay FWIW.

But here's where my questions were left with a big huh?

I asked if I could order the new grille after the new year. I want to get in on the Active Member Contest, lol. And if I could buy the grille after Jan. 1st would there be any problem with that dreaded phrase, out of stock. I hate that phrase. She said, "Sure, order whenever you like, but Toyota is doing a price increase Jan. 2, I dont know if this grill would be affected or not. They will be updating all our catalogs tomorrow night."

WTH does that mean? Catalogues are getting a price increase Jan. 2 @ 12:00AM?

Anyone else heard this or can shed some light here?

Well you have all three carriers charging more for shipping. UPS, FedEx and DHL. All our vehicle graphics are going up to by 19% as 3M has dropped a price increase effective Jan 2nd. Why the 2nd, well the 1st is a holiday and it's also starts the new quarter off for the year for business that are on quarterly financial's.

No surprise they are charging more. I would also suspect raw materials are going up as well causing new orders and inventories to be affected.

The dollar isn't very strong anymore either, which will make things more expensive to purchase from international suppliers.
