TundraGeneral discussion forum for the 2007 and later Toyota Tundra.
This is a discussion thread titled "Spray on Bedliner Repair? Any Suggestions?", within the Tundra forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
Hey Guys I have a spray on bedliner on my Toyota Tundra, and it doesnt hae a warranty, becuase I just bought the truck a month ago from a private seller. I've noticed that there are a few little places on the bedliner that have been chipped and need to be "touched up". Does anyone know of a general repair kit you can get for a spray on bedliner? Or something that would work to just fill in and touch these little places up. Any help is always apprecitated. Thanks Guys.
Was it done professionally or was it a DIY job? If Line-X or Rhino, it may be warranted although I'm not sure if the warranty is transferable. If it's not, maybe call the guy you bought the truck from and see if he still has the orignal warranty paperwork?

What brand spray in? As you said, the warranty's don't transfer from the original owner.
I'm sure you could go back to the place that sprayed it to touch it up for a few bucks. I had my Rhino chipped in one place and they touched it up in a matter of seconds.
MY LineX shop told me it was good for the lifetime of the Truck. In other words it transfers to the new owner.
I just checked the Line-X site and the lifetime warranty is not transferable.

I dunno what brand the liner is...it seems like a good one because it is on really neat and seems to be thick, which would lead me to believe a professional did it somewhere along the line...but idk what kinda of liner it is because there is no "line x" sticker or little name badge on the bed.
Take it down to a local dealer and see if they can identify and/or fix it for you.

To me it looks like it was "well used", it was a sh!tt% job to start with, or it is a DIY kit. I would probably have it resprayed by a quality shop that does line-x, or armorthane(i have armorthane and love it). If you are just wanting to make it look better and dont plan on using your bed that much there are herculiner kits available at auto parts store and also versions that are in a can, which I used to touch up my armorthane when I had to chip it off to get my bed extender in place. However the diy kits and the spray cans definately wont last as long as a quality job.
nah it was actually a very well done job...looks very professional, that one area is what I was talking about...that is on the tailgate and I've heard that there is a certain shine you can buy to remove that residue on there. So I think I'll pick some of that up tomorrow n try it out...
The rhino liner place we use at my job has done a couple "touchups" on our salter trucks, they just mix the epoxy by hand and apply it with a caulking type gun.
I chipped my lineX while loading the Fat Boy (no damage to the bike). Brought it down to the shop and was quoted $50. When I picked up the truck there was no charge and he ended up giving the rest of the bed a quick coat!! I would have paid the 200 for the customer service provided by LineX in Fredricksburg, VA. Side note;; the bed was dented slighty from the peg, but its a truck so it will stay.
