Love the hitch cover where did you get it? Was on two boats up there. Loved your area. Always tell everyone if I ever get kicked out of the Republic of Texas you'll find me in Charleston. Did the other three boats up in Norfolk.
That step looks like just the ticket..I googled Drebo Step and got nothing. Please supply a link to manuf. website...also better put a lock on that reciever cover or it'll belong to another sailors truck.
The Debo step slides out. It is mounted to the hitch underneath with 2 bolts. Keeps the receiver free for use. It can be used with the tail gail up or down.

Got the cover from a guy on ebay. As a matter of fact I think he is in Texas. Kind of pricey, but well made.
Not yet. Travel alot with current job, so have not had time to look for a chapter here in Austin area. Plus my 18 year old daughter keeps me on my toes, one of the reason I decided to retire. I've raised her by myself since she was 6. Have a friend in Va Beach who keeps me up on things. I'll look on e-bay thanks.
Here are 2 new things I recently added. One is the Debo step and the other a hitch cover.

Was install easy? Possible you could take a picture or two of what it looks like attached under your truck? Does it mess with ground clearance or spare tire? Thanks

The step slides out, past the edge of the tailgate when it's down so you can step up into the bed. There's another manufacturer that makes a similar step that slides into the square hitch, but the Debo bolts onto the frame so you don't have to tie up your hitch. The Debo was more expensive, but it also had a large yellow knob that released the step to slide out, looked pretty easy to use. I can't remember the other hitch step manufacturer's product name, but I found the cheapest price for it ($70 last I looked) listed on amazon under truck bed accessories.
It would be kind of hard to step on the bumper with the tailgate down dont you think?

This thing was super easy to install. Only 2 bolts, the 2 on the right shown in the picture. The upper bolt is an existing one (remove and reinstall) and the lower one is supplied with the step.

That's what is great about the Debo, you can have the step and leave the receiver free for use AND it works with the tail gate up or down.
