I miss the stock 45 gal. tank on my old diesel excursion. I could go almost 1,000 miles betwee fill-ups on the road! (it got 22 mpg on the Highway).
I would hate having 72 gallons of gas in my Tundra. Except for when I had to fill it, I would think I was driving a Prius .

I called TF yesterday. They told me that tanks were developed just waiting on approval to be released. They took my info and said they would call me when they are ready. I like the 30 gal. toolbox combo. I just bought a new travel trailer and I am not looking forward to stopping for gas all the time.

my firend has a ford f250 diesel. he had installed another tank. when i see him, i'm going to ask him what he paid, for it, and how much to install it. if i remember correctly, he said to me he can go 800 miles, before a fill up.
he is a professional fisherman.

I would be very interested in buying one as long as they are mounted in the oem position and will not effect the factory warranty.

For some reason diesel tanks are cheaper than gas, why I have no idea. If they were the same price you should be able to buy the 30 gal. in bed for under 475.00 we will wait and see. If they are I will own one as soon as they come out.

I'd love to go more miles between fillups but $1000 is too steep for my budget.

I am in on the group buy for the replacement tank if there is a decent discount available.

I had a tank in the bed of my F250. I got it at a truck wrecking yard and it was a saddle tank of an 18 wheeler. It held just over 110 gallons. Between it and the stock tank I could get about 140 gallons of diesel in the truck. I had a range of just under 2,000 miles per fill up. it was great not having to fill the tank very often. Then when I did fill it, I went to the fats flow truck stops where it took much less time to fill than at the auto pumps. at the time a typical tank would cost $400.

I don't have a problem spending that much on a tank of fuel since I know it will cost that much if I fill up once for $400 or 8 times for $50. I personally would rather visit the gas station once as apposed to 8 times.

And since I live in Houston, I want as much fuel as I can get my hands on during a hurricane since fuel become unavailable right after a storm. When Ike hit I had a full tank as well as an extra 20 gallons in plastic gas cans. I would have rather had a full 50 gallon tank with the 20 gallons in plastic gas cans on top of that. (Generators don't run too well when you run out of fuel.) Hurricanes also seem to hit during september teal season, and if I have 50 gallons of fuel in the truck I won't feel so bad burning 10 gallons to chase a few teal.

Great day! We have completed the installation of the new 47 gallon replacement tank.
