The vehicle has to know the size of the tank in order to figure out DTE... There is no other way mathematically to do that calculation without having that number.

I happen to agree, that if MHP has "broken" the ECU code than they should be able to change it from 26 to 47 gallons... Question is IF they can find where that is stored. It could be stored in the gauge cluster like the odometer miles. Only a toyota engineer could tell us for sure.

My thoughts exactly. I'll PM MHP and ask if they can do this. I will keep everyone posted.

Well, I'd honestly think that Toyota would provide this sort of info to aftermarket manufactuerers.. Why would they have to "break" the ECU code? Its not like microsoft here, and if manufacturers break the ECU code they can go selling ECU's to everyone! Well, I'm hoping to eventually have one of these tanks put in, and also really hope that reprogramming of the ECU is a given when one of this is installed..

Anybody else think this tank design/placement is going to accentuate the left side sag already present with a stock truck?

I never noticed it until I measured it while setting up my weight distribution hitch. The left side was 7/8" lower than the right. Empty truck except a full tank of gas.

Put 1 PSI extra in the left airbag.

I heard back from MHP today. They are going to look through their code to see if the tank size is stored as a variable or what. I'll let everyone know. This could very well be the solution to the incorrect RANGE display.

From California to New Jersey.
The shipping charges on truck freight would be 195.00 to my door.

Well I think we have spent 14 months waiting for gas tanks, I know I'm waiting for the inbed tank to come up so we can get prices and when we can order, are we getting a discount? Hay Ben how about an update on what's going on.
