Well I went to transfer-flows online catalog the underneath tank is there if you search hard enough you can find the inbed 30 gal toolbox for1,395$ did not see a discount or group buy, not only that but it fits all trucks chey ,dodge , ford. I can still buy a 50 gal diesel toolbox tank for 550$ think I'm going that route. There is still the 200$ shipping and I can get free shipping on the other tank.
While I won't need the extended range until April 2010 (3 week road trip to Alaska with stopovers in Seattle and Idaho), the free installation offer and the introduction pricing makes this a very tempting buy. I'm waiting to see pictures of the tank installed on a CrewMax.
In the back of my mind, I'm wondering if this tank will interfere with the BudBuilts I'm planning on buying or even with the more long-term installation of the TRD supercharger's fuel pump.
If I can put 6 5gal gas cans back there and they are plastic I think it would be safer to put 1 metal contanier. A diesel tank is built the same as a gas tank it just dose not have the legal hookup to your fuel system. I won't use it as a direct hookup but will pump it in by hand with an electric pump therefor no hooking up to fuel system.

Why waste the 550 dollars? Just continue with the gas cans.
You and me to Tundry Bay. When your towing at 10mpg or less you have to many stops to make alot of differance between driving an empty truck and pulling a camper.
I live in NY the highest taxed state in the union so when I travel into Vermont I like to save 18 cents a gal on gas. When I get a few miles from the ferry I will tank up to head home.
