There's room for a bigger tank to go farther back where the current tank is. I'd like a 35-40 gallon tank in place of my current tank. Even 45 gallons if it'd fit. I seems like there's a lot of space under the bed there. Maybe Toyota was worried about the extra weight impacting on payload?

We actually are looking into designing and building a larger
replacement
tank for this application. We have completed some preliminary
evaluations and feel we can build a 40-50 gallon replacement tank. The
main issue is obtaining a vehicle long enough to complete the design
and
prototype installation, then we will have to complete a significant
amount of emissions testing here at our facility and at an independent
lab.
I will pass your email and the link around to other management and we
will see what we can do to pursue this project.
Thank you for your interest.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

I think that our stock tanks at about 26 gallons are a little small, but the real problem is that we only use about 20 gallons of this before the tank shows empty and the gas light comes on. If toyota made a more accurate gauge where we could use 23-24 gallons before the light comes on and makes us nervous we probably would not fill up quite so often or complain as much.
Just got this email from transfer flow: KEN, I have good news we have purchased a tundra and our engineers have designed a rep. and a in bed tank. We are 1-2 months till hitting production. Please e-mail your phone # I’ll call you when its ready.ps I do not know $ yet.

I regularly run mine 30 miles after the light comes on. Before we moved, that was 2 more days of driving to work.
EDIT: I sent them another email. Hopefully we get some news.
hi, my friend has a f250 he added another tank.
it has a switch inside the cab for tank 1 & tank 2.
he also had to add a seperate filler tube.(something about the law).
he is a professional fisherman. he needed to the 2 tank's.
it just cost's him 100's to fill up. but yet he doesn't need to fill up every week either.
he love's it, and wish's that all his truck's would come this way. especially when he is pulling his boat on a 800+ mile roundtrip.

It said they have a 2007 at their facility now and they will be designing the in-bed version first extra 30 gallons. They will also be designing a 48 gallon replacement tank for under the truck and will post on the website when they come availabl. they have to pass all their emissions standards through California Air Resource Board first but it is coming.
I for one am happy about the potential of a 48 gallon replacement tank!!!
Please keep us posted. I check there site every few months. I loved the one I had in my Duramax from Transfer Flow. Of course this will start a new debate on how far you can go once the light comes on. In my Duramax replacement they actually told me at install it would come on with approxiamately 10 gallons left in the tank (it was a 45 gallon tank). It happens because the tank is much deeper and they reuse the original float. I hope this one does not come on with 16 gallons left! In my Dmax I often drove 75 miles with the light on and never put more than 40-41 gallons in the tank.
