Not sure if I missed it, but do they have an audio input where I could plug headsets directly into the unit? I was thinking about getting a little speaker one would use with an mp3 player so she doesn't have to wear headphones?
Well there are a couple of ways to do this with this setup and sure with others similar. It does actually have a spot in the middle of the screen area were you can plug a audio headset directly into them. They actually supply 2 sets with this setup I got. You can use the FM modulator part and just tune your stock radio to a freq not used in your area, this is adjustable on each headset and listen through the stock head unit or last option is feed the audio out of the headreast you like into say the AUX input of the radio for a cleaner sound and play through your stock head unit.
Hope that helps answer your questions.
I plan to eventualy feed the audio and video outputs to my stock NAV head unit but just haven't doen it yet, similar set up as what Wilee on here has doen with his unit. He actually got some good information on his site and in a post around here about it too.
It's been a while now. How do you feel about the headrest units? I'm ready to purchase I just want to get any last minute pros and cons to headrest.
Does the viewing angle cause a problem?

My kids absolutely love ours..... viewing is great, even from the center seat. I have the more expensive In.Vision headrests and would do it again in a heartbeat.....

WT,
I'm thinking about ordering this product as well. After reading the product information though I did not see a standard warranty, only an aftermarket 3 year warranty for $35.99 which I understand covers both units?
Also does this unit have their own speakers? or do you have to play the unit via FM transmitter through your radio?

Okay quick update I don't use these on a regular basis or anything since I don't have kids and all but wanted something for that every now and then for the nephew and neices are back there and for the money is was a cheap inverstment, I got to say there still working as good as the day I put them in. The few times they have been used everyone impressed at how well they look and work. As for warranty and stuff I realy was not to concerned since if they last a year they payed for themselves especially if you have kids. Oh no problem with viewing angles either.
The setup comes with wireless headphones and hardwired headphones. FM transmitters are built in so you can send the audio to the radio if you want too and if you want to go through the process it also has audio output RCA connections too for both outputs and inputs and video in and out also for anyone interested. I hope this answers your questions.

I still can't see the wires that you "snaked" through the seats. You hid them well. Would you mind taking pics of where/how they were "snaked"?
Good work.
Okay as for snaking the wires Its rather simple process the wires are attached to the headrest and coming out the end of the headrest tubes that slide into the seat top. If you remove your headrest you will see what I am talking about it has 2 holes that just goes into the seat back. So when you flip up the leather flap under the bottom of the seat (un-clip 2 plastic white clips) I just used a fish tape and ran it down to the headrest post holes and down the open area, attached a piece of string and fished it up and attached the wires with some tape before putting the headrest post into the seat and pulled the wire to the bottom of the seat were you can wire things up. After hooking everything up I sneaked the wires into the bottom of the center console and wired it all up under there (lots of room under there) then ran the cigarette lighter plug that came with it into the center dash were I plugged it into the aux plug in there.
I did find this one picture I took during it all that should give you idea if the wire coming down under the seat area.
Thanks for all the time & information you have provided to this post. I personally just couldn't see investing the $1800 or so the dealer wanted, so I bought a portable DVD player that was on sale at Best Buy for $125. However, now that you have brought this product to my attention I think I will order it shortly. If one of the units go bad, I have a backup and I will still have under $500 totally invested. A far cry from the $1800.
Hopefully the install will go smoothly, if not I hope you don't mind if I PM you with any questions I might have.
I just ordered a set of these and I will be using Wile E Tundra's video hack to feed either player to the Nav, or the backup camera to either headrest. (kid's will think that's cool)

Yeah I have considered doing that hack too just been to lazy to do it since I don't really need to watch a DVD on the front screen but it would look cool.
Oh there 100's of other headrest DVD players out there on ebay so you can just pick and chose the options and features you want, I picked these due to simplicity of hookup and had everything I needed and then some.
I just put SAVV in my truck. Look great but they are only days old. I am told they are a reasonable brand. Time will tell.
I found their stock gray was a really close match to my leather but the grain was different (smoother). Almost an exact match to the console armrest. Spent $700 for pair installed vs. their OEM match units that run $2000+ per pair.
Not $300 but I am happy.

I got the larger screen DVD headrests from ebay (9" screens) for $450 including shipping. They left Hong Kong at 2PM HK time and were delivered the next day at 2PM my time. I was totally shocked at how quick, as I just paid for standard delivery.
I did not even need to fish the wires. The headrests just fit into place. I had to reach up and grab the wires. I ran then under the seat and put the bundle in front of the console shifter. The only thing I had to do is splice into the power. I really like them.
FYI, I got Black leather for my Grey interior. My wife really likes how they tie into the black on the trim panels. I was not going to risk having the colors slightly off.
FYI2 - the manuals are the worst chinese to english translation I have ever seen. It is Jay Leno headlines type funny. Just ignore them and use your own judgement.

I ordered something off ebay before from Hong Kong and was kinda of leary. I thought it was going to take forever if I got it at all. I went ahead because it was only $13. It took like 3 days and I was also shocked.
Why buy when you don't know about warranty on the product. My product 3/36 on 07/ 08. There's no splicing on my product. super clean install.Rear Seat Entertainment - INViSiON Industries
I like your product and it seems to be high quality, but...
Since you asked why?, because we could replace the headrests 4 or 5 times for the same money...
Sometimes it just doesn't hurt to cut costs somewhere, and if you are not building a show truck, the cheap versions are not a bad option.
How much profit are in these things anyway?
