Why buy when you don't know about warranty on the product. My product 3/36 on 07/ 08. There's no splicing on my product. super clean install.Rear Seat Entertainment - INViSiON Industries
I have to agree at times you get what you pay for and I am not going to knock your product line you sell but as said you asked why ??
I say for the amount of use I use them for and am sure 90% of people use their rear DVD entertainment systems is on the light side for just road trips or longer around town trips. I personaly am not willing to spend upwards of $1,000 + or more for when I can cut some cost and get a product that does everything I want and if it does dies, I'll just will replace them again for this price they really are a throw away if they break. For an example look at the price of laptops now. You can find them in the sub $500.00 price tag and when they break your better off tossing it and getting the next newer, better unit out next. Cause it end up costing you more time and money to fix some thing that is out dated pretty quickly.
My point is these do what I want them to and probably saved me a few $$$ along the way and I just wanted to let other owners here know what I did and if they want to follow suit it's their choice and if they want to spend more money on other products like yours thats their choice also.
As for your comment on no splicing how are your units any different than any others in what it requires for a power source ?
I have yet to hear about a wireless 12volt power transmitter and reciever and if your just using a cigarette plug mines does that too and sure many others do too, so guess as far as no splicing I can claim these do that too.
I got the larger screen DVD headrests from ebay (9" screens) for $450 including shipping. They left Hong Kong at 2PM HK time and were delivered the next day at 2PM my time. I was totally shocked at how quick, as I just paid for standard delivery.
I did not even need to fish the wires. The headrests just fit into place. I had to reach up and grab the wires. I ran then under the seat and put the bundle in front of the console shifter. The only thing I had to do is splice into the power. I really like them.
FYI, I got Black leather for my Grey interior. My wife really likes how they tie into the black on the trim panels. I was not going to risk having the colors slightly off.
FYI2 - the manuals are the worst chinese to english translation I have ever seen. It is Jay Leno headlines type funny. Just ignore them and use your own judgement.
I was thinking of doing the same exact thing- get black to match up with the interior trim. Do you have any pictures by chance? I would like to see how it looks. Do you have leather or cloth interior?
These are great...never knew about them until now....zstill a littl fuzzy on how to run the wiring...also a little worried about how close the grey color will match the interior.
i guess i need to get some of these. not for the praticality side of the DVD headrests buy my wife bi+ches about the stock headrest's angle- she cant wear her hair pulled back in the tundra because it pushes on her hair and makes her head lean forward(they do lean kinda retardedly forward). as for your comment above about 90% of users using them on a part time basis i agree. and they should be. i have co-workers who have children who demand they be turned on and scream until they are on just for a short trip. talk about no social skills. also, if u use them all the time all i can think of is big wheeled escalades or caprices with ghetto drivers listening to rap music videos laying the seat back cruising by themselves with 10 TV screens pointing out the back window on the headrests hanging from the ceilings etc....man that looks stupid.

You did know the stock headrest do tilt some if you grab them and tilt them, not sure if you tired that yet.
The ones I got are not as large as the stock ones, so they definalty do not hit the back of your head as easy. So this could help your situation

25-30 ft Travel Trailer....... bye bye Pop-Up
I got same thing for my 06 Explorer (I am here because we used to have Sequoia 2002). I have had them for a while, and they work in my car everyday when I drive my kids to school. So they are pretty "busy". Not a single problem yet, no skipping on bumps, in ma case the color and grain is about 98% match, you can't tell the difference. For $ 350 with shipping you wonder who would spend 1800 on same thing from a dealer. They came from Honh Kong in just 2 days - amazing.
Okay, I'm a newbie to the Forum and still in the honeymoon phase with my new '08 Tundra. If you have the time, and don't mind my ignorance, do you mind going into a little more detail on the wiring. I'm with you up until you connect to the power source. Once I fish the wires through the seat and to the center console, how do you hook into the power. Is it a cigarette lighter plug (I'm thinking no), or do you splice into the 12v wiring. If that is the case, how do you get to that wiring? Hopefully, the question makes sense. Thanks in advance!

Yes the units I got came with cigarette lighter adapter to plug strait into one, I used the open plug inside the console area, I picked up one of them 3 into 1 adapters and was able to just plug them in there that way they cut off after the two hours like all of the cig. ports except the one on the dash that goes off right away. You could also just pull the cig. plug in the center console out and the wire right into the back of it there, depending on your units and what type of wiring it comes with.
You can simply pull the plug up, it just slides into place.
Hope that helps if not let me know and I try and get some pics when I get some time.
Oh forgot to say Welcome to the forum since your a new member and there lots of good information here.
I just got my 9inch versions in today. Not sure what to think as I haven’t really got them installed all the way. I do have some first impressions however.
The rods that go into the seat from the headrest are much thinner then stock{SORRY FOUND THE BIGGER ONES FIT MUCH BETTER}. The color is something I am not sure I am happy about. Since I have cloth interior I knew there was a chance of this. Not sure it’s a deal breaker for me as of yet. You guys/galls can decide for yourself. Ill post a better review once they are all hooked up.
Only one tiny pixel dead in one of the lcd's, not that bad at all.
At a second glance. I love these! Sound is very good. Picture is good. Quality is good. For the money IMO you cannot beat em. The FM modulator is suprisingly very good on these, as well as the headphones.
Excellent addition to the Tundra!!! Thanks WT for pointing these out.
