Hey Toxarch,
They looks as good as the day I did it, no problems at all. Its all holding up real well which is as good as I expect. This is the only way for some of us to get color match handles.

Sequoia doesnt come in Blue Streak so we were kinda screwed unless we did it ourselves or had it done at a shop.
Yeah guess the door handles will get a bit more traffic but only time will tell how the last. I would think it wont be to bad since when you grab your handle most of the force is on the back side since your pulling the handle and that parts not painted.
For the cost I figured if it gets bad after a while I would just redo them and next time use a 2 part clear thats as tough as what the body shops use if not tougher now on the tundra uses the environmental friendly paint that is so thin now a days.
As for removing the pillar stickers I am considering that today .... hmmm just not sure yet but if I do I will post up some pics for sure.
i used the 2 stage chroma base paint on my door handle, sanded the whole handles smooth to get ride of the texture and the inside part of the handle.... white base coated it couple coats to get it smoother and wet sanded.. then silver sky color matched.. then clear coat.. looks factory and cant stop looking at them.. i would definetly recomend this upgrade... the color mathc paint cost me $70 bucks a quart.. makes 1/2 gallon if mixed right the white base coat is about $50 a quart and clear another 50-100$ .. a little pricy but you can use the rest to paint more stuff like the grill bumpers all the handles ... dash perhaps? oooh im getting ideas ..lol... nuff bout that ..good luck guys
Re: DIY: "Paint your door handles to match" w/Pics
What have you guys done about the spacers between the handle after you pull it off the door? see my album for pics of what i am talking about. Have you painted it too or left it black. Thanks
Re: DIY: "Paint your door handles to match" w/Pics
im new to this so i dont know how to get to your album..but if you mean the 1/8 inch thick or thinner rubber thingys.. i left mine black on a silver truck.. there a little smaller then the handles so there are really not that noticable.. o found your ablum ya leave tose black.. since you got a dark blue truck you really wont see them

This is one of the greatest looking mods I did to my truck,I also painted both bumpers. The colored bumpers don't show in a picture because my truck is sky silver.
Re: DIY: "Paint your door handles to match" w/Pics
where can the mirror color caps be found, are they the same Sequoia's caps
& price ?
What is the price on Sequoia handles & who has them & for how much ?

Silver or not, you can tell paint versus chrome.....

I checked at TRDSPARKS.com for the prices of the door handles from a Sequoia but found nothing. I am just curious is it cheaper to buy Super White door handles off the Sequoia or to order color match paint and do it yourself?

We put them in the Tundra section because a lot of guys were buying them for their Tundra so to make it easy we made a kit available. Let us know if we can help with anything else.
Thanks,
Jamie

As someone on this board once said, "The black handles are nice, but the color matched handles are REALLY nice" or something to that effect.
Even tough my truck is black, I love the look of the Sequoia handles that I ordered from Sparks. Not many will notice the subtle change, but I know its there and it makes me grin a little every time I get in my truck. I did the orange BMW style LEDs in the handle when I installed them and it really sets them off even more.
