Anyone got them yet? Their website has already posted a part number for both Dcab and CrewMax. If so, what was your cost, and if you are satisfied with the fit and finish? Is it fully hidden below or does it show? I've looked underneath my truck and there's really no room for it to tuck up underneath the body and frame.

I don't have them, but I've tried them out on a couple different trucks at the SEMA shows. They hide really well, and are sturdy and have a nice finish on them. I wouldn't hesitate at all to buy them if you don't mind the price.

I have looked at them to and had asked my local 4 wheel drive shop about them and he said they were not out yet but would be soon.
he was guessing the price would be around 1,200 but we shall see.
they are very nice and the wife would love them so i don't think she would have a problem with it.
not like the steyr aug rifle i just bought lol.
We put one of the first run Powersteps on our Tundra for SEMA. They are extremely easy to install, they use four factory holes in the underside of the rocker. They don't tuck completely out of sight like say a Kodiak side step does. On a stock height Tundra they wouldn't be noticeable though unless maybe the truck was white. And that is a maybe.
The AMP steps are very good quality. I love the ones on our truck. I couldn't imagine having the lift without them now.

Here is the truck where you can see them from the side from far off.

Thanks for the info. I'll be placing my order shortly. The install looks fairly simple, just wondering if it has some sort of safety feature in case something gets caught in between the board and body as it is coming up?

Mine have shipped for delivery next week. I hope to have them installed next weekend. I got mine from ElectricStep.com, which has them for $1235 shipped. I spoke with a couple of local places and this is below their cost. I'm not sure how they do it, but I grabbed them while they were available for this price.

Thanks,
That's where I plan on ordering mine. The install seems fairly simple. Let us know how it went for you when complete.

Actually there is a safeguard to prevent your foot from getting caught up in it. The step is pressure sensitive. I believe in the brain it measures the motor current draw which would increase in the event that something is obstructing the board. As you will see after you install them, by simply keeping your foot on the step and close the door, the board will sense the weight of your foot and not close. The technican at AMP told us that even if you were to manage to get your hand caught in it, the sensor is so sensitive that it will sense the resistence and immediately withdraw the step back down.
If your company is looking for a longbed DC 4WD to make all pretty for next year's SEMA show, you just let me know! I don't recall if I saw yours or not, there was so much to see, and how much ground can one guy cover in only 9 hours of effort? What booth was it in? Nice lookin' truck. You should convince your co-workers to paint that grill blue as well.

Now that's innovative! Thanks for the info. I'm sure my wife will appreciate the safety feature as we have a two year old running around.

Willy, it was in Pro Comp's booth. We basically gave the truck to them to display the products such as the lift, wheels, tires and lights. This insured our obligation with Toyota would be fulfilled, while in the process of building, provided the substance for product installation articles. If this one goes to the show next year, it will be completely different. On the other hand, a birdie that sits high in the marketing tree at Toyota told me next year they will be pushing the Seqouia at the show, so we might get lucky and be able to get our hands on one of those to trick out and do some articles on too.
I'm curious if there is a disable switch for anytime you do not want the steps to deploy. Say.......4 wheelin and you get stuck and do not want your $1300 steps to come down on the rocks, sand, mud, or any other time there is not enough clearance for them to extend etc... or for any other reason.

they won't deploy if somethings in the way as well. The pressure sensitive system works when the step is going up as well as going down.
I have them on my silverado and I love them. I will definately be getting them for my tundra once it's been lifted.
